week 3
[Come week 3 of the Champion Excellence Program the high-flying feelings that came with the dodgeball game last week has dissipated, especially after the...everything that was that trial. Satan Mask sure was a thing that happened.
Just like last week, right on the dot at 7 am, the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]
Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your second trial, you have unlocked the third floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.
[And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]
[ooc: welcome to week 3, everyone! Check-in has begun and don't forget to submit your memory regains!]
SUNDAY

Of course, right in front of her room is the cafeteria hall, so that's where she goes. She doesn't exactly get there quietly. If anyone bothers to follow the loud stomping and clashing, she's curled into a ball at the exact place where she tripped and fell, sobbing in the ugliest way imaginable. That place happens to be in front of the espresso machine, her back against the counter beneath it. Her face is somehow both white and red from weeping, and the hair she's kept relatively neatly braided for almost two weeks now is a mess. There's genuinely no other prompt here, it's just her crying. Loudly. If you happen to be an asshole and just wanted to get coffee too bad, that's on you buddy.
She never leaves the first floor. After whatever happens in the cafeteria, you can find her crying in the shower or not crying in the art room, where rather than making anything, she's drawing something in her sketchbook with crayons. From her arm movements, it looks more like she's trying to grind the crayons toward an untimely end and the drawing is just incidental. ]

Obviously she hasn't been murdered or anything, because after having some breakfast, she sets out exploring again and makes her way to the arcade. She makes straight for the zombie shooting game and starts blasting away.
When that eventually gets boring, she ends up in the greenhouse, where she can be found attempting to take stock of all the plants. Which is going to be difficult since she doesn't actually recognize them, but at least she can identify fruits and such.]

She looks at the envelope from week one that she still hasn't gotten rid of, hugs the photo on her desk, and gets to work.
In the morning, Yurika will go to the cafeteria before the hot breakfasts are over, then explore the new floor. The arcade gets a quick look-over, as does the greenhouse, where she notes all the plants.]
Maybe I should tell Jane-chan about this...
[Finally, she enters the holodeck. There's no playing around in here. Instead, Yurika's stopped cold in the doorway.]
Just like home.

It's not the last thing she remembers, but out of all the tablets Jane had found in the Land of Crypts and Helium, this is the one that sticks with her when she awakens, along with the imprint of the silence, the grey, the crypts and skeletal trees, the veins of flowers and plants that yearn for the world above, the lights of lanterns and Lil' Sebastian's pitter-pattering feet as he scampers to and fro. Despite her sadness, it had been liberating to go wherever she felt and solve puzzles at her own pace, so compared to last week she has a bit more strength of heart. She's in the game. One hurdle has been cleared - and from the sounds of things, if old tablets from long-dead salamanders can be trusted, she'll have some time to work things out with everyone. For now, however, one thing is clear: the Maid of Life is indeed her Occupation.
Today she won't beat around the bush - she goes up to the new floor as soon as she's washed and breakfasted, spending the morning examining the facilities of the greenhouse. It's...actually nice to be around plants today, and to see a wealth of cooking options before her. Those pigeons are really cool, too - the sound of cooing birds, even if they look like weird galaxy bath bombs, is soothing, and she'll end up pocketing a couple of dropped feathers to clean and keep, but feel free to find her quietly examining what's available in this little piece of almost-home. For the afternoon, Jane is in the sewing room. She can't sew with those machines if her life depended on it, but someone is extremely sick of her skintight silver footie pajamas, and dangum it, she is going to attempt a thing!! Look, there's even sewing patters, so a red circle skirt shouldn't be too difficult, right?
...Huh, what do all these symbols on the pattern even mean. How does she figure out what her size would be. What even are these terms in the directions. Someone please keep her from making something completely awful.]

It doesn't last.
Early on Sunday morning. She can be found in the kitchen, clutching a cup of tea like a lifeline.
What I want, is for you to remember me.
She's just blankly staring at the cold cup of tea. Occasionally there's a tremble, but otherwise she doesn't move.
She's like that till the morning announcement. At that she stiffly gets up and goes about her normal routine of shower then breakfast, even if she hardly eats anything. Later on, she can be found in the 'Cat cafe'. She's mostly just looking at the many robots on the floor, then she looks at the one staying on her chosen table.]
What is it doing?

For the first time, he skips breakfast, though he's seen using the teleporter. Those who look for him will find he
has discovered the holodeck. There he's recreated a cityscape, futuristic and with alien writing on the signs...though not completely unlike modern cities. It seems to be bustling with life, but Margulis stares st it with a hollow expression. One look at his face and it's clear something has changed.]

He's first going to grab breakfast from the diner but he'll be scarfing that down so fast that he won't be there long. Then he's going to check out all the new rooms.
In the greenhouse one might catch him trying to identify the plants. That seems to be an odd bit of knowledge for a guy like him, but he's actually not clueless about it. He'll grab a couple that are familiar to him, nothing that could be identified as harmful.
He does check out the arcade and cat cafe but these don't seem to spark his interest.
Strangely enough the sewing room does spark some interest. Not so much because he likes to sew, but because he's in a good enough mood to actually be willing to put in some effort to make himself some decent clothing to replace the unitard and bedsheet toga he's been using. Thankfully his normal clothing is actually not a difficult design to work with. If he simplifies it a bit, it's actually within his skill level. Well, once he can figure out the machine that is. That will certainly take some tries, unless someone wants to try and help with that?
Then for the rest of the day other than meals, he'll be enjoying some time on the holo deck. He may need to be shown the controls, but after that he'll be messing around with putting in some stuff for places he's been and he'd actually like to see stuff others put in too.]

...though his scary face is kinda ruined by both the giant... fish plush under his arm? Though on closer inspection it seems to be inflated instead of stuffed, though it's oiled fabric instead of plastic. He takes the cute fish the size of some of their fellows to the cafeteria, putting it down along with a thing that looks vulgar.
He's just staring at the items, looking cranky.
Later on he investigates the new rooms, taking one step into the holodeck then right back out again shaking his head. He seems much happier by the greenhouse though, and can be found gathering a few small pumpkins. By evening he's in the artroom... carving out all the pulp and seeds onto a baking pan.

spoilers and maybe some self-injury in the thread
Kurumi skips breakfast. She couldn't trust herself going to the cafeteria. She doesn't explore and just heads to the gym instead. If she felt like this back home she would have went on patrol alone even if Miki would have insisted on coming with. Her target was the punching bag.
There's no sign of anger on her face, none of that rage she had unleashed on Ricky during the first trial. She's just blankly staring at the bag as she punches it repeatedly. Her upper body strength is definitely enough to keep it swaying--her hands aren't doing so well, though. If you get close enough to her, you'll hear her repeating one sentence over and over: "Is there only this left?"
Later, she'll be in the library with some of those self-made bandages on her hands. The copy of Christine is laying on the table but she's not reading. Just staring ahead and maybe scratching at her bandages.
Today wasn't going to be a good day.]

Mods to the Holodeck, please
[Most of the morning he can be found in the Holodeck, pouring over the control panel
or whatever type of interface it might have, if there's not a physical interface. He's looking carefully through the settings and any pre-scripted scenarios available, trying to find any kind of actual information about the station itself, or better yet, some kind of access to the stations computer systems at large.][Later in the morning, the holodeck is being used for it's intended purpose, more or less. The Doctor has turned it into... someplace very orange and a bit green, apparently? Whatever it is, he's running around the central console, furiously tapping keys and throwing levers, and occasionally hitting it with a small rubber mallet, because of course he is.]
Come on, come on- ah!
[He gives the controls a last frustrated smack, shoving away a monitor mounted on some kind of sliding track around the central column.]
Not enough processing power, not nearly enough-
[In the afternoon, he's back to the library, with another stack of books, and a notepad covered in scribbles. The handwriting is... not as bad as a doctor's traditional handwriting, but it might take some examination to make out. There's also a few odd, circular runes of some kind. The one thing that might be easy to make out at a glance is the sentence scrawled across the top of the page in blocky, scribbled letters, and then circled a few times for emphasis: EVERYBODY LIVES. There are, embarrassingly, multiple exclamation points.]

How amused would everyone here be to find out that Lightning is the knight of a dying goddess.
Since it was Sunday, she assumes there is a new floor open. Wearing armor she's never seen before, she heads straight for the third floor. The armor feels right to wear, as if a missing piece has been returned to her life, even if she stood out even more now.
Her first stop is the holodeck. Anyone who walks in will find her standing in front of a throne, just watching it silently. It seems to be a rather important place with how she's acting.
When in a not so contemplative mood, she'll be checking out the cat cafe. The cats are entertaining to her, so she's ordered a few drinks just to see them moving around. The rest of the day will end with her just walking around before retiring early for the night.]

BYAKUYA TOGAMI: SURVIVED"
Six, maybe seven or eight people remain. That doesn't bode well for his classmates. How many remained from the game? Could he be the Champion Survivor because he's the only one who survived?
Anyone who enters Togami's Kind of Private Study Room will see the whiteboard covered in the bedsheet again. It's not for public knowledge, but since there are a couple people aware of that other game he decided to leave it there instead of erasing the whiteboard and writing that stuff in the privacy of his room.
Togami has fabric obtained from the sewing room and is working on it, though. Wearing this toga has gotten old already, so he's making himself actual clothes. Togami was never the kind to be that good at sewing, though. He knows pretty much the basics, so the end result is looking...unusually average for someone who has such a high opinion of himself. Anyone who enters is asked one thing, without him even raising his eyes from his work:]
Do you have someone you're particularly close to?
[In this spaceship, he means. What's up with that question?
Maybe you'll also find Togami in the greenhouse, looking at the galaxy-patterned pigeons with attention. He's covering his nose and mouth with a piece of fabric as if it was a handkerchief, but he's looking at those with curiosity. Such an unusual pattern and color...you know how valuable those things would be if sold? Space pigeons that lay edible eggs! It'd be a new Togami business. How to obtain a few of these once this game is over?]

Burning questions in Sonic Boom.Shrug emoji!)Regardless of the state of his hand, he spends some time in the artroom, actually honest to god trying to do art. He's got colored pencils and doesn't know how to use them. Well, he does, they're pencils, and even if he's sketching out with his left hand, it doesn't seem to be slowing him down any. He certainly never seems satisfied with anything he draws. He might even try a different medium, as if that's what the problem is and not starting from next to nothing in art skill.
He can also be found in the holodeck. Chances are equally good that you'll either run into--what looks like yet another space station, but more used, a little more color than just chrome, more windows looking out over Earth. Or he could be trying to recreate a blocky robot or a series of fellow furries.
If you run around the arcade, he...sure does seem curious about the motorcycle racing game. But any of them will do, especially if you want to see some fake arcade gun skills even he didn't know he had. Even pinball's fine, though. Whatever he's playing, he's doing so aggressively. ...As if that really comes as a surprise to anyone.]

Mods again, sorry, he's fired up this week
[Whatever happens, he can be found later in the day back in the holodeck. There's no extra-dimensional spaceship simulation running this time, just a holographic facsimile of a busy city street. The Doctor can be found sitting on a street bench, writing on the same notepad he had in the library yesterday.]

Meeting 3.0
Among his clean flowing hand writing and way way too much wordy padding for 'meet in the caf after lunch', in fact, mid sentence, he has:]
Has anyone else noticed that the Overseers have been very friendly, considering their duties?
[And the note continues on as normal, ending in his usual signature. Clearly he doesn't want it recorded on the cameras that he asked about the Overseers directly]
Well then, does anyone have anything new to report?
[There's hot chocolate with a bowl of whipped cream (ordered from the diner) set out for everyone. Yum!]

Investigation time! ...sorta
First things first, he spends most of the afternoon in the Library. He has a NEW sketchbook open and if anyone peeks they can tell instead of his tight and florid handwriting he's printing, and slightly oversized as well. He's more then content to talk, but he seems to be waiting for someone, assuming she feels up to it after everything yesterday was.
After that he heads to the arcade and is... very lost. Help this poor man as he pokes and prods at the machines. He has no idea how to play anything here, but still, he will try his best to investigate the place... but sadly he wouldn't have much idea of anything that would be odd. So he just tries to look behind the machines even pulling them out if he has to. Pray he doesn't electrocute himself.
After dinner he heads to the music room, and keeps the door open in case he has company- and thanks to that the low aching sounds of the pipes drift out through a large part of the floor. Though thanks to the soundproofing it's not so loud to be obnoxious. Unless you REALLY dislike pipes.
Also, while Xander himself isn't there, if one goes into the kitchen you might find an array of pumpkin seeds sitting out on a tray to dry]

After lunch, he can be found in the greenhouse, gathering vegetables, with an eye toward peppers. By late afternoon, he's in the kitchen, working on something in a pot. By dinner, people will know what: a pot of extra spicy vegetable curry is set out along with the normal food in the cafeteria. Eat with caution, as it really is very spicy.]

Once she's there, the contents become clear. As she starts lining up cranes on all available surfaces other than to work tables. She'd meant to do it sooner. But there are now a few hundred more cranes on the ship than before. It's still no enough for a wish though...
Once that's out the way. She goes to the sewing room, to do what everyone else is doing, and make new clothes. She seems to know what she's doing, if the lack of pattern is any indication. She starts by measuring out the fabric instead.]

Motive: Ouija Board Not Included
Welcome back, Champions, it's time for another motive. I don't have a handout this time, so I'll make it quick.
What would you do, if you had the chance to send a message to one person. Any. Person. Living or dead. Would you take the chance to tell someone you loved them? Or to tell someone goodbye?
[He steeples his fingers. Jamie, behind him, levels a flat, unimpressed glare at the back of his head.]
As usual, this week only you can find out for the low, low price of... Drumroll, please! [Bolton turns to look at Jamie, who crosses his arms and looks away.] Really, J? No? Fine.
If you want the chance to send a message to one person, all you have to do is kill someone and get away with it! Simple, right?
[The door to their side whooshes open behind him, and Bolton turns to see that Jamie is leaving. Immediately distracted, he turns to follow.]
Hey, wait, Jamie, where are you going?

The gym will be here main place to haunt as she kicks a ball up into the air. As it's sailing towards the other end of the gym, she tosses a fireball at it and watches the ruined ball fall and burn. There was still nothing in the rules about destroying them. And there's at least a fire extinguisher nearby. Anyone wanting to use the gym... might have to wait for quite a while until Light gets all of her aggression out.]

WEDNESDAY
Punishment
Attention all Champions. Please avoid the diner for, uh. For the remainder of the evening. Also, remember, there is a reason for rule 5. Do not, for any reason, try to remove your PIP.
...The Champion of Detachment, uh.
Oh holy shit.
Will not be participating in the rest of the experiment.
[If anyone chooses to ignore this warning and go to the Diner, they will find Jamie and Bolton both (Jamie in a t-shirt and black pajama pants decorated with what looks at first glance to be a print of silver moons, and Bolton in a hoodie and gym shorts) standing over something in the floor that appears to be covered with a sheet.
By Wednesday Morning proper, they will be done with clean-up. Bolton will be about half an hour late for his office hours.]

THURSDAY
no subject
In the cafeteria, Shadow's doing plenty of note-taking on his PIP, munching on a pepperoni pizza he shoved in the kitchen's oven. Anyone want a slice? Or is it all for him? On another table is a fruit basket full of apples, oranges, grapefruit, aaaand a pineapple. Who could've left that? Surely not him.
At the game room, he's got a deck of beautifully designed cards. They each have names, and the box says tarot, but what the fuck is tarot, he's trying to find a game that might correspond to the word or the designs, the cards spread out over an entire table.] Do you happen to know what kind of game this is?
[It's late when he ends up in the gym, kicking and punching the everloving shit out of that punching bag, and then taking a run around the perimeter, throwing in a few sick jumps and spins. Either someone's got energy to burn or someone's just burning off anger. Or both.]
