Week 3

[Come week 3 of the Champion Excellence Program the high-flying feelings that came with the dodgeball game last week has dissipated, especially after the...everything that was that trial. Satan Mask sure was a thing that happened.

Just like last week, right on the dot at 7 am, the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your second trial, you have unlocked the third floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

[That's alright. She's listening, and smiling too. Serah sounds like a nice sister to have.]

[She nods. Even though she felt miserable most of this week, talking about Serah was calming.]

She's tough as well. Sometimes more than I give her credit for. I think she would make friends with most of the people here easily.

Is she very good at that? Making friends, I mean.

Very. She's a very bright person.

Sounds like it.

[Jane smiles.] Is it tough, then? To be an older sister?

It can be. I used to work a lot... I admit sometime I'm not the best sister at times.

Could've fooled me. It's in your weird title thing, isn't it? That mean you must be good at it, even if you're not perfect.

[AHAHAHAHA WAIT TILL NEXT WEEK WHEN SHE REMEMBERS SHE'S THE REASON HER SISTER IS DEAD]

Titles might not mean as much here as we think they do. What? Am I the best sister ever to get this title?

[Shrug.]

That I can't say. But I think that if someone stuck the title on you, it must be for a reason.

Not like they'll explain it to us. At least yours is obvious since when we met you were talking about an assassination attempt.

Oh, well, golly, I would get those a lot, but not every girl has to be an Heiress for people to want to kill her.

Normal, every day people aren't assassinated very often.

No, but people certainly try to kill elected officials often enough. I'm pretty sure there's documentaries about the various n'er-do-wells who attempt to assassinate United States Presidents.

[Documentaries, musicals, books with LEGO figurines depicting the action...]

That doesn't really happen where I'm from.

Really? Is everybody truly that happy with their politicians?

No. They're sheep under the Fal'Cie. As long as the Fal'Cie keep everyone in line by treating them like pets, no one complains. And the ones who do are like my sisters fiancee, Snow. They aren't taken very seriously.

But people do try to rebel against them, like this Snow fellow?

Snow rebelled against the soldiers who weren't keeping monsters in check. We had a bit of a problem with those, and they cause quite a few deaths each year.

And there's soldiers who don't want to help with such things? Why bother becoming a soldier if you're not going to do something for the good of others?
