[Come week 3 of the Champion Excellence Program the high-flying feelings that came with the dodgeball game last week has dissipated, especially after the...everything that was that trial. Satan Mask sure was a thing that happened.

Just like last week, right on the dot at 7 am, the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your second trial, you have unlocked the third floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

Maybe there's some truth to the theory that they have to be cruel to us. I don't know yet. But we'll do what we can either way, no matter which side of Bolton-san or anyone else is the real one.

Perchance that is the truth of it. [ She remembers the way Bolton got suddenly, briefly cagey during their talk on Sunday before saying he couldn't tell her anything. ] They have the same cuffs. They may be bound to rules just as we.

... Dost think this week will be any different from the last?

To be honest with you, I don't know. All I know is that we have to keep on going even if it is.

I... had a dream the other night, where someone important to me looked to be dead. Kurumi-chan told me it must be fine because the other memory I got had him alive and it must have taken place after, but I'm still worried. But in the dream, I was still taking the mission seriously... at least in front of my crew. Because the war was still on. It's like that here, too, I think.

You needed to lead them. If one of us is lost, all are.

I pray Kurumi is right.

[ She nods, which admittedly she does a lot in these type of threads! But she's got a particular earnestness about it now. ]

Um, came you hither to sew?

I was thinking about it. I actually don't know anything about patterns or sewing machines, but everyone else is making clothes, so why not?

[curdle]

It is a useful skill, and this room hath more different kinds of cloth than ever I'd seen in one place. The machines I can do nothing with, but if you need help in stitching...

Wow, thanks, Thomasin-chan! And maybe they've got manuals, too!

Maybe. I meant to ask thee... what is the meaning of that word, chan?

It's something you'd use for a child, a friend who's a girl, even a popular celebrity who has a cute and girly public image! I guess honourifics aren't really the same in every language.

[curdle]

Honourifics? [ She kind of gets it, but the specific name is throwing her. ] Is't near the way I might say Goodman or Goodwife? One my age would have no such title.

Oh, yes, something like that! All our homes are really different, so it's probably hard to get used to if you haven't dealt with people outside your own circle. Don't worry, if you have a question, you can always ask!

[curdle]

That is a comfort. I know mine own speech can be a trial in this place. If ever it troubles thee, I'll do my best to make it clear.

That's okay! It's sort of what makes you you, you know?
