[Come week 3 of the Champion Excellence Program the high-flying feelings that came with the dodgeball game last week has dissipated, especially after the...everything that was that trial. Satan Mask sure was a thing that happened.

Just like last week, right on the dot at 7 am, the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your second trial, you have unlocked the third floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

The Benefactors seem to have made some highly unwelcome assumptions.

That's because they're a bunch of degenerates. Who would even need to use that much?

That's a topic I'd rather not consider. I'm just planning to get rid of it, so it's no longer occupying space that might be better given to useful objects.

The only thing I can think of is using it for one of those viral videos with people dancing on a floor covered in it... or a slip 'n' slide. Those were popular with kids on Earth, and it's better to conserve the water up here. But still, it's lube from the people who trapped us on a space station and told us to kill each other.

It makes one wonder if they're attempting to humiliate us into desperation.

Are you so unfamiliar with the terminology of that game? Or with the mindset of one who enjoys a difficult challenge?

I don't know, some denominations let you get married, so... Anyway! The Benefactors are a bunch of pervs and I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted you to throw that in the trash compactor so it could oil the gears.

If that's their intent, then so be it. At least it means we'll continue to have a way to dispose of unwelcome gifts.

I haven't a clue. I wouldn't be surprised if I wasn't the only one receiving undesired objects. Perhaps someone else is unfortunate enough to have it happen repeatedly.

[He lifts the arm that isn't occupied carrying the gigantic tube and shows a pale blue bracelet around his wrist.

It's meant to offer some elemental protection.

Oh, you mean for bad weather? Or ethers like yours?

Both, effectively. It reduces the effects of cold, and hardly discriminates between active attack and dangerous surroundings.
