Week 3

[Come week 3 of the Champion Excellence Program the high-flying feelings that came with the dodgeball game last week has dissipated, especially after the...everything that was that trial. Satan Mask sure was a thing that happened.

Just like last week, right on the dot at 7 am, the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your second trial, you have unlocked the third floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

[He'd considered gifting Thomasin with an apple, but in light of...certain things, that seems unwise. She might think he's making fun of her plight.]

Seemed wasteful to just leave all that food in my room.

Mine was a little different, but I've already gotten different versions of the same thing, like two bags of ground coffee with different labels.

I've only gotten a scarce few items of use. I don't know what these are even for. Or where they're from. It's concerning, but I'll not waste a good thing.

That's true. But how did they even get these things? I've gotten three things that belong to me so far, and one was a stack of paperwork. Another was the blueprints for the Nadesico!

If they can cross dimensions and universes and times to snatch us up, it doesn't seem far-fetched for them to be able to grab some of our own items. I'd count yourself lucky on that point, just for having something of yours.

I've gotten things that belong to other people, too, though.

[!] That...sounds like an unfortunate oversight. How do you know if they belong to someone and not just random items like food?

Lightning-san said something looked like a creature that's only in her world.

Hn...I don't suppose you've gotten anything to wear that clearly isn't yours?

Just an apron. And... something that's never going to fit, and is also a little, um, something I don't want to talk about because it would upset people.

[blinkblink] You didn't get a weapon or something like that, did you? [shadow plz she just said she didn't want to talk about it!!!]

No, nothing like that at all! But it'll probably upset Thomasin-chan.

[...And now he's gonna just narrow his eyes.] So long as you don't tell her about it, then there's no problem.

...It was children's clothing with blood all over it. She was already talking about losing her brother. I'm afraid it would remind her of that at the very least, and the clothes look very old, too...

...I see. Yes, that would...definitely be upsetting. Did you get rid of it all?

I washed them in the sink and stashed them under my bed. It feels wrong to just throw them out.

I don't imagine it got the blood stains out. But you don't need them, and you aren't going to show them to Thomasin. Are you certain you want to just keep them like that?

Actually, cold water is pretty good for blood, mostly. Hot just makes it set, though. ...and I'm not sure, but what else would I do?

...I don't know. [He thinks about the apples in the basket, wonders if Thomasin might come along to pick one out or if she'd make a face and pretend to not be upset at the sight of them.] On one hand, it doesn't seem right to keep them from her--I don't know whose else they might be. It's part of...her. Her items, her memories. But on the other, she might...react in a way it might be hard to get her out of.
