week 3
[Come week 3 of the Champion Excellence Program the high-flying feelings that came with the dodgeball game last week has dissipated, especially after the...everything that was that trial. Satan Mask sure was a thing that happened.
Just like last week, right on the dot at 7 am, the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]
Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your second trial, you have unlocked the third floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.
[And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]
[ooc: welcome to week 3, everyone! Check-in has begun and don't forget to submit your memory regains!]
Meeting 3.0
Among his clean flowing hand writing and way way too much wordy padding for 'meet in the caf after lunch', in fact, mid sentence, he has:]
Has anyone else noticed that the Overseers have been very friendly, considering their duties?
[And the note continues on as normal, ending in his usual signature. Clearly he doesn't want it recorded on the cameras that he asked about the Overseers directly]
Well then, does anyone have anything new to report?
[There's hot chocolate with a bowl of whipped cream (ordered from the diner) set out for everyone. Yum!]

It seems I was correct in that the pattern of memory recovery is the same as access to new floors.

[He frowns heavily]
My own memories seem to be missing large hunks of time, even from one that regained to the other.

How curious that someone noted the Overseers are acting strangely friendly. Yes, it's worth noting. Could it be favoritism? Trying to appease the participants? Or...
[Togami crosses his arms]
Have none of you considered the possibility there's a traitor among you? Someone working with the Overseers whether it's willingly or by being coerced? Not that it changes anything, a traitor is a traitor no matter what.

Corrin...]
It's possible. Considering what Bolton tried to tempt us with the first week there's no reason they wouldn't offer something similar behind closed doors.

[ They have both been kind to her. Thomasin's head jerks up and her hands tighten on her hot chocolate. It's nothing personal, but she can only think of two things now.
Who says they are? For all we know, this Champion of Temerity is one of us. ]
Would they--
[ Look me in the eye, daughter. Dost thou love the word of God? Love you the Bible? Love you prayer? ]
Would they show such open favor to them?

[To do what, though, besides carry information that the cameras and PIPs were already capable of picking up. Stir dissent and mistrust, maybe. Like by mentioning the possibility of a mole, AHEM.]
I s'pose I don't have to tell you that accusing someone without hard proof would be a really stupid idea. Last thing we need is ratcheting up tensions in here by starting a witch hunt.

She might hang around once the meeting's over to talk to Xander about his question, but for now, let's get down to business.]
It's probably not too big a deal, but there's definitely a robot on the other side of the wall of the diner that cooks the food for it - and it's aware of things, too, not just mindless. It responded to my knocking last week.

There's not much cake left to gather up, it seems.

Kurumi's room
Kurumi? It's me, Jane - I made cake for the meeting, but you didn't show up. Can I come in?
[She has cake for you 'n stuff. Hope you like pumpkin.]

We can't do much here, but I'd like to at least call a moment of silence for the ones who aren't here.
[Pause, and then...]
It's kind of morbid, but what do all of you want if you die? Please don't say anything about vampires or having your ashes scattered on your home planet or something we can't do.

I would ask only for everyone else remaining to endure and continue on.

[He's sure Thomasin's telling the truth, but a lot less sure about Bolton and Jamison.]
Though, ah, if you make it out of here an' I don't. There's a girl. Rose Tyler. If the people who brought us here were watchin' my timeline, they'd have been watching her too. Find her, make sure she gets home, if you can. And tell her I'm sorry.

I'm thinking some kind of buddy system, help keep each other safe. Or keep an eye on each other, if it comes to it.
