Week 3

[Come week 3 of the Champion Excellence Program the high-flying feelings that came with the dodgeball game last week has dissipated, especially after the...everything that was that trial. Satan Mask sure was a thing that happened.

Just like last week, right on the dot at 7 am, the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your second trial, you have unlocked the third floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday

[ooc: welcome to week 3, everyone! Check-in has begun and don't forget to submit your memory regains!]

[ Thomasin is on her knees in the dirt clipping sprigs of rosemary, which is presumably close to the chamomile, so she notices company fairly early. She only knows the basics of 17th century homestead herbalism, gained through osmosis of her mother's doctoring, but that's enough for her to have an idea of what's going on. ]

Are you... making a tea?

[ What she actually wants to say is that she had no idea McBurn could have trouble falling asleep, but she's not hysterical with grief anymore, so she'll take that thought to the grave unspoken. ]

[He doesn't have problems falling asleep and Thomasin of all people probably doesn't need to hear this. But then at the same time it could help her to know what he's trying to do because she's going to be an easy target for some of the weaker people here.]

Something like that. If you mix the right herbs together in a certain way it can actually be a non-lethal means of defense. Assuming I can remember the herbs and my training on it.

[ Well, he's being honest, but it still catches her off guard. ]

You would make a boon of your own. [ I mean, it beats the sand in a jar. ] Is't not dangerous? If you brew wrongly, you could...

[Still, he can't be faulted for actually messing with something non-lethal.]

Harm myself? That's not a concern for me. The hard part is going to be to find a way to ensure the target inhales it with what we have here.

Inhale? You mean as a snuff, then... I see. I thought of drink. Poor-mixed, that might make them sick, or worse.

But properly mixed it can induce sleep when placed in a canister and thrown. No skills at aiming are needed. You're a smart girl, I'm sure you can figure out why I know how to do this.

We each of us have our histories. 'Tis not my place to ask.

[ Ha ha, okay Thomasin, sure. ]

Do you know of other uses for what grows here?

[He's sure his own history is far more colorful than most people's here though.]

A few. Been some time since I needed them. I only learned the basics to tide me over until I could get to either a town or one of our bases.

[He'll point out a couple he remembers though. A few that are good in food and a few that help with healing injuries and preventing infections. The sort of stuff one would expect someone trained in combat would care most about. He's not giving names though because he remembers more based on appearance.]
