Friday morning after CECE awakens everyone with her usual cheery announcement over their PIPs it's dead quiet, the oppressive threat to their homes still lingering in the air. There's still hours to go before the deadline but will someone really have the guts to go through with it in such small quarters?

Or is the better question has someone already gone through with it?]

[So surprise, the Doctor hasn't been sleeping well, trying to come up with a way around the Overseer's ultimatum. Some caffeine sounds good. How's the kitchen?]

[He might be the Ultimate Life, but he still needs sleep. Still, he's gotten less than usual last night, wondering if anyone's going to die. After all, these rooms are not the most secure, and too many people here are on the list he's been making who might do it.

But nothing seems unusual at first, not between CECE and the people in the halls. Shadow's going to go relax and bounce around the zero g room and try to sort out his thoughts in peace. (God knows he won't get peace anywhere, but he can dream, right?)]

[When Shadow gets to the zero g room he'll notice something odd- someone left the gravity off all night. The controls are right by the door though so that's an easy fix.]

The first thing he does on the wakeup call is head to the kitchen for some coffee. Wouldn't it be nice if someone was already dead and he could stop worrying?]

[Don't mind Shepard, he's walking through the private quarters corridor. Namely because he just got up after falling in and out of nightmarish sleep the whole night. He's tired, and hoping nothing nasty happens on the way to the kitchen. Like him tripping over a body. Or suddenly sharks.]

Good morning, everyone! According to my security cameras, a body has been discovered in the Zero Gravity Room. There will now be a short period of investigation and evidence collection after which we will be holding a trial to find the culprit responsible.

[Well, while he's standing here, grumpy, cold milkshake on his face, being told he can't shower and snapping at people he doesn't trust not to touch things and not moving because he's evidence (or covered in evidence anyway), Shadow is going toooooo examine the controls. Is there anything pulled out, out of place, a smear of blood he didn't put there with his clean hand?]

[So after that announcement McBurn is going to outright avoid the zero G room because investigating requires effort and he has zero fucks to give today, not like he ever does.

So instead he's going to the kitchen to see what sort of food he can scrounge up that is remotely bearable and if there is any coffee left. Does anything seem out of the ordinary?]

It sure doesn't feel like a hoax anymore but if he stays in his room he's probably gonna go nuts so sure, let's try the hallway. As long as it's not in the Zero-G room, he can totally do this! Right??
