Friday morning after CECE awakens everyone with her usual cheery announcement over their PIPs it's dead quiet, the oppressive threat to their homes still lingering in the air. There's still hours to go before the deadline but will someone really have the guts to go through with it in such small quarters?

[A few rungs down from there. Most of it was smeared on the wall on the way to the ladder. Like someone was using the wall for leverage while the gravity was off.]

[He measures where that last rung is, carefully cutting off that piece of toilet paper and very carefully - very carefully, its toilet paper - under his sleeve. While he's at it he may as well see if there's a consistent size to the smear heights. Not so much handprints, but rather..well, can use a hand for a comparison (without touching it, even with his gloves)...which he probably needs to climb up the ladder to do.

He should probably ask someone else.]

Not even with gloves on? [He's much more calm and patient about standing around than, say, Sonic, but still, standing around with matted fur and not being able to do much because ~evidence~ is uuuuuugh.] Or for another reason?

From the floor or from each other, or both? [He'll go hop on the ladder--look, Fin is by and far not on The List, and while Shadow isn't likely to take anyone fully at their word, Fin's doing his damnedest to figure shit out. Good man, Fin.]

Just from top to bottom of the blood smear, not side to side. I don't know if it'll pan out with anything, but its worth a shot to record the size.

Ah, the markings themselves, I see. [He'd seen Fin marking down on TP best as he could, but this is more along the lines of using hands and eyeballing. So, those smears on the walls, are they about hand-sized, given that despite Shadow is a mere 3'3"-hog, cartoon proportions are a thing and his hands can be reasonably assumed to be person-sized?]

[Alrighty, he puts his hand up to one, and then another and he looks down at Fin and puts out his hand. Thiiiis big.] Suffice to say, someone was dragging their sorry self along the wall.

[Near the door there are some small scuff marks, like something metal was leaned against the wall.]

[Shadow hops down--from where he is up the ladder, in fact. What might've broken Mai's neck is no concern to him, landing easily. (PARKOUR!) It's an interesting angle from up there, and on landing, he notices the marks.]

Were these here before? No, I suppose nobody has anything on them that would make that. [Do the marks seem to correspond, maybe in color or relative width, to the murder pipe?]
