the mock investigation

[The week at the space station has trickled by slowly. Friday morning after CECE awakens everyone with her usual cheery announcement over their PIPs it's dead quiet, the oppressive threat to their homes still lingering in the air. There's still hours to go before the deadline but will someone really have the guts to go through with it in such small quarters?

Or is the better question has someone already gone through with it?]

So instead of being thrown, the pole would have been dropped? [A thoughtful expression] That would certainly make up for lack of strength.

Yes! Something like that. I did contemplate using that before, so--

[TMI, TAMAMO]

The murder would be hard to commit in zero gravity itself, floating around and everything. If, somehow, the murderer could get the cowboy man on the other side of the room while floating in zero gravity, place the pole directly below him, and switch the gravity to whatever they fancy...

[RIP, basically.]

And they could switch it a few times more to toss him around. For good measure.

[And this, Tamamo, is one of the reasons your name is underlined several times on The List. Which nobody will see until he's as cold and dead as the champion of get along lil doggies himself.]

And then it would make it that much easier to put the rod through the ceiling. A less awkward position if done by hand, or if it was lined up just right, the force of the gravitational shift might have done the job.

[AND THIS IS ALSO THE GIRL THAT WANTED TO BREAK A WINDOW IN SPACE?]

[Don't go Twogami route, Shadow. And hey, Tamamo learns fast! All she needed was one freak-out sessions with Ruby for all the PRIMAL FEARS ABOUT ZERO-GRAVITY taking over and forming... 'plans'... like so.]

The timing would have to be good, though. Either Jesse perfectly fine with floating around in zero gravity with this to-be-murderer while they were armed with an iron pole, or they did it quickly. Walked in and just switched the gravity before he could react! All of those require planning.

If he was thrown around, wouldn't we see more stains around the room?

Hypothetically, I mean.

[The next murder victim is going to have their entire body obliterated instead, now that she knows this. Enjoy guys.]

Of course. Still, if that ability exists, it would have quite the effect on the list of suspects...

It would, wouldn't it. They just have to be smart enough to work the controls and also consider the possibility of reversing the gravity through it.

[WELL LETS TRY THAT OUT RIGHT NOW]

I wonder if it's easy to learn... a guide anywhere, perhaps?

Are the controls labelled, perhaps?
