Friday morning after CECE awakens everyone with her usual cheery announcement over their PIPs it's dead quiet, the oppressive threat to their homes still lingering in the air. There's still hours to go before the deadline but will someone really have the guts to go through with it in such small quarters?

[That sure is a big metal shaft imbedded in the ceiling. There's blood smeared down its length, and probably also a bit of organs and tissue clinging to it.]

[There's a little bit of blood on the ceiling around the pole itself, but most of it either flowed downward or just didn't stick to the wall. However the blood on the shaft is shiny and wet, as if it was smeared there just a few minutes ago.

Like, say, when the gravity turned back on.]
