Week 6
[It's been six weeks and with Ricky, Kurumi, and Lightning all dead, the group that was initially 20 strong has dwindled down to only seven. Thirteen Champions have died in about a month and a half, and even the Overseers are beginning to crack. How many more will follow before this cruel experiment ends?
And again at 7 am the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call there is no new floor announcement this week.
And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]
[ooc: welcome to week 6, everyone! Check-in has begun and don't forget to submit your memory regains!]

SUNDAY

Time to keep on going. She promised.
In the morning, you can find Yurika in the dead Champions' rooms. She retrieves a uniform from Ricky's that wouldn't have fit the smaller girl anyway, but spends some time looking things over. In Lightning's, she's looking more at the necklace that Lightning had mentioned last week... but when she checks the dumbwaiter and a large bunny suit is taking up all the room, Yurika breaks into sad laughter.
Later, having changed into the uniform, Yurika will be in the kitchen again. She's doing her best with Jane's advice, but she's somehow managed to turn instant ramen made with bottled water into a pungent, charred grey lump.]
Maybe it needs something...
[Afterwards, she lugs a Christine Junior up to the dodgeball room, where you can find her flinging ball after ball at it with prejudice. Bother her?]

The dream is brief. The dream is horrifying. It doesn't need to go on long for Jane to get an idea of just what now lies in wait for her back home.
It's doubtful you'll be up and about early enough to see Jane at the incincerator, shoving her Bowlbuster spoon and her red skirt inside with grim-faced determination. And then, for the rest of the morning, you won't see her. But that's not weird, right? Everyone needs time to process their grief, and she can only hold hers in for so long. In the afternoon, however, she'll be firmly stationed in the sewing room. She's wearing the spacesuit again, oddly enough - doesn't she hate that thing? - and seems to be working on two projects: a black circle skirt that is noticably less lumpy than her red one, and a really terrible black jacket thing that might be a cardigan, if it weren't overly big and the sleeves weren't uneven. Even though she's incredibly focused, she'll respond to anyone talking to her...which you should, because at no poing in the day do her hands stop shaking. At all.]

Once breakfast is a thing, however, she doesn't go to the cafeteria. She stops by the art room to snip a length of purple ribbon, then goes searching for things to bring to the altar in the diner. She visits the media room, her own room, the bar, and the greenhouse, and arrives with dried rosemary, a bottle of rum, some space pigeon feathers, and a copy... of the movie... Space Jam.
Once she puts them in place, she proceeds to order no less than ten waffles in quick succession, slamming the menu button in question like it's a doorbell and she's playing ding-dong-ditch. Even if she didn't see the diner during the investigation, she's not ordering pancakes or using the syrup. While she's there she plaits her hair into one loose braid, ties it at the end, and tries reading the Griffin's Bible with one hand whilst eating waffles with the other. She didn't expect herself to be so hungry, but now that she is she's not exactly surprised.
She comes to the kitchen without the benefit of a basket to ease her carrying the numerous little paper cups of butter and a five-pound bag of flour. It doesn't matter; she puts the flour on the counter, the butter in the dairy fridge, and she stands there trying to brainstorm something to make with them.
Also, you can find her in the greenhouse, using their eggs as an excuse to hang with the pigeons. Get pooped on by the pigeons. Either way. ]

cw: slight self harm
It's only the sound proofing of the doors that hides his muffled scream and how he loses what little soup he managed to eat in the restroom when he wakes up only a few hours later. It's super early still- he didn't sleep long.
He comes out slightly after, but anyone coming out of their own rooms or heading through the hallways might find something they didn't want to see so soon after a death. Little drops of blood leading down it. Anyone that decides to follow it back to Xander's room will find that it's not open exactly- so he isn't dead at least. But there is a boot wedged in it- like he might have knocked it into it while passing and simply didn't care. If they go inside the fish floaty is sadly deflated near the bed (which Jane saw the night before) but the blood leads toward the restroom and the culprit. The mirror is shattered. Not just shattered, but hit enough times only a few shards and the backing remain. Even THAT has a few smears on it- he clearly would have gone through the wall if it was made of anything less sturdy.
Following it the other way goes all the way to the teleporter. And while the drops slow as it goes, they do eventually lead to the storage room. And there is Xander. Shoe-less and shirtless (clearly having not bothered to dress out of what he slept in) and bandaging his bleeding hand. The massive scar on his belly that a few have already seen is even a little pink, like he might have been poking and prodding it roughly at some point.
After all that Xander spends what other time he's out in the art room finishing the piece of two people he started last week. Now he has his heavy leather riding gloves that came with his first outfit on so no one has to see the mess he made of his hand.
Painting is hard to do when one hand is injured, but he forges on regardless.
Other then that, he wanders the station in general like he always does, to peek at people. Though there is much less drive- it's more like the roombas in the cafe. Mindless autonomy and occasionally bumping into things.]

It's reliving in an odd way.
She'd been worrying about Krauss since learning of Jessica's death. A part of her already thought he was gone. Now she could mourn properly.
Natsuhi skips breakfast. But turns up in the kitchen just before midday. Using one of the knives to try and pry a padlock off of an old book. Don't point out her eyes are red, she won't appreciate it.]

But at this point he can't deny he's concerned about recent developments. Asahina, Kirigiri and Naegi are trapped. Last Togami remembered, he was entering that building and told Hagakure to stay behind. There was a big explosion. Did he survive? He doesn't know.
So not only those three are in risk of dying, he also may be in mortal peril. Togami is rather sure he wouldn't die in such stupid way, but there's this uncertainty that makes himvery uncomfortable.
That's why he's in his kind of private study, with several letters in front of him. A couple are already folded, and he's writing a third one:
First than all, read and don't question too hard this. This is Togami Byakuya, and I'm currently in a predicament. Don't try to find me.
My memories have been altered. If it ever seemed I'm dead then you may rest easy -- I'm alive.
I don't know for how long I'll stay away--
Togami is staring at the paper with intensity, frowning. There's no way Naegi won't try to find him, and he knows it. It's going to be very difficult to dissuade him]

[The memory is a bit anticlimactic compared to the others he's recovered, but it fills in some gaps, at least. A gap.]
[”This is who I am! Right here, right now! Alright? All that counts is here and now and this is me!”]
[The Doctor can mostly be found in the Holodeck again, running a few different simulations. One of them is just the city street he's run at least once before. Catching him with this running means catching him writing something in the notepad from his room, which he'll flip shut when approached, but someone stealthy or sharp-eyed enough might be able to spot the word 'Rose' at the top of the page.]
[One of the other simulations is a wire-frame scale-model of each of the floors of the space-station. They're capable of moving independently of each other, and the Doctor is rearranging them in different orientations, sometimes muttering about power or water lines.]
[The third simulation is something else he's run before, but at least this time he's not trying to use it to hack the station. This time he doesn't appear to be interacting with it at all, but rather standing back and watching the occupants he's added; one is very definitely himself, dressed in actual clothes instead of the champion's unitard he's been stuck in for over a month now, but there's also a young woman with blonde hair, and an almost supernaturally attractive man in vaguely military clothing.]
[There's no sound, but it's clearly a happy moment. The non-holographic Doctor is standing by the deck's entrance, watching, almost expressionless. If anyone enters, he'll try turning it off, but he's a little too distracted to do it quickly enough.]
MONDAY
Meeting!
Around lunchtime, a note finds its way underneath your door:
Please come to the library ASAP for our weekly meeting! Food will be served even though you're not supposed to have food in a library - it's not a written rule, after all!
Please bring pillows and blankets for your comfort, and if you spot anybody moping on your way in, drag their butts over here! :B
-Jane
And, if you so choose to come to the library, you will encounter quite a strange sight. A few bolts of incredibly ugly fabric have been unraveled and draped over bookshelves, then chairs, to make spacious forts. The door to Conference Room C is propped open, the table inside laid out with an assortment of roomba cafe snacks and platters of sandwiches from the diner - going in there had taken a lot of personal effort, so it's not surprising that you'll find Jane already in the fort and wrapped up in a blanket, the heads of her oily wizard rabbit and Chocolina peeking out with her. When enough people show up, she'll speak.]
Okay, so...we all...need to talk about things. What have we learned, what do we still need to figure out...and, erm, who...might need to get things off their chest? We might as well lay it all out on the table, no holding back.
[She'll join in, just...you guys go first. This is the Champion Depression Support Group.]

Sorry mods
And with that activity is a desire to investigate.
The first thing he heads towards is his own room. Specifically his dumbwaiter. He knows better then to try and 'modify' it in anyway, but he does crane his head inside it as much as his wide shoulders will allow him, and tries putting things BACK in it (his poor deflated fish, for example) and closing to see if it's taken away.
After that he heads to the locked door on the second floor. Again, he knows trying to mess with the locks or just bust out the door is useless- so he mostly just kinda pokes and prods at it. Sees if his PIP reacts to it at all.
But most of his time is back in the holodeck. It's said to 'show you places you've never been'- he's seen as much with Margulis' memory. But how far does that go? He tries a few places he knows exist but he's never seen; places in Hoshido, for example. Or say 'Show me Jane's home' or 'show me Thomasin's family'. Things he has no idea what they look like.
Then he tries places purely out of head. Made up names, places from the books he's read here, 'show me the place with the two moons and the three circling suns'.]

TUESDAY
A Ship Divided
All 9 PIPs go completely black. They feel no different, everyone with powers that are nerfed will still feel the same effect, but for the time being all notes are inaccessible, all profiles are inaccessible, the list of rules is inaccessible, and perhaps most perplexingly, all maps are inaccessible. The teleporters don't respond to any attempts to use them. But there have been two futuristic port-a-potties installed in the main area of each floor, so at least you don't have to use the pool or the greenhouse as a bathroom.
C.E.C.E.'s voice rings out from the ceiling.]
Good afternoon, Champions. There has been a special request that there be no more motives or incentives to kill, for the remainder of the experiment. So here we are. From this day forward, the Champions will be left alone.
For your convenience, restroom amenities have been provided on each floor. Additionally, the cafe on the third floor will now begin providing nutritionally-balanced ready to eat rations, and the storage room on the fourth floor will stock a small variety of these ready to eat meals as well.
Thank you, and please enjoy your stay in the Champion Excellence Program.
((OOC: Welcome to the Lockdown Motive! Because of the way the space station works, there will be no communication between groups, so remember who your partners are and what floor you're on. We ask that in your top-levels, you please include the floor number in the header to make navigating a little easier. If you have any other questions, hit up the mod post! Thank you and enjoy!))

WEDNESDAY
2nd Floor + investigation
First of all, she'll go straight to the gym this morning. People have barely touched it since they found two bodies in there, so maybe there's something to find beneath all the decorations she put up. Yurika will be checking the floor and walls for anything strange.
Later, she'll be back in the diner getting coffee, and spare some time at the memorial. She's still toting the Gekiganger plush around, since she was taking it with the decorations when she got stuck up here.
Finally, Yurika will try the teleporters again, but knowing that they're off, she's going to try something... well, something that I know isn't going to work, but she's shut her eyes tight and is standing on the teleporter with the mark of the IFS implant on her hand going from grey to holofoil rainbow.]
Come on, think of another floor... think of another floor... think of Mars think of Mars thinkofMarsthinkofMars!
[Yeah, she's not teleporting anywhere. Though why didn't she try the controls instead of just standing there?]

4th Floor
Those of you on the 4th floor are in for one hell of a time - the dodgeball room has been boobytrapped with string and dodgeballs, so that when you open the door, dodgeballs will rain down on your head. The dance studio has similarly been rigged up to make the CD player turn on when you open the door, and set to the Space Jam theme, and it's been finagled shut so you can't remove the CD. The incinerator has been stuffed full of random useless crap like garbage, so much so that the door is stuck open - have fun trying to burn anything in there. The pool...has been untouched? Eh, give it another day, she's still not sure what to do with that yet.
As for Jane herself, she's spending time in the bar, playing its piano. When she'd found it, she also found an ice cream maker full of stuff with her old fedora on top, so obviously this shit's for her - save the photo. She's going to wait to see if Togami will turn up, since...that definitely looks like him on the side.
Oh, and the bar's not free of traps, either. Jane periodically shakes the sodas to make sure they'll explode in your face, and some of the liquor bottles have been boobytraped to make pool water-soaked gauze rolls fall on you from the higher shelves, should you take a bottle. Hoo hoo hoo, motherfuckers.]

She might have issues sleeping but that didn't mean she didn't want to at least try. It wasn't like all nighters were new to her but not being able to even get to her room or the showers were.
All she'd wanted to do was look in the diner after the last investigation. Just once, say a prayer and go.
She spends a good chunk of time scowling at the diner menu. Because why did she have to be stuck with this food?
But eventually she gives up and looks over the instruments in the music room, tapping a few keys on the piano, bit other wise she's just seeing whats there.]

It's hard to stay awake, and honestly Togami is supposing everyone else is having the same problems. And as if that wasn't enough, being awake for so long has made Togami a bit...antsy. Maybe a tad delirious. The point is that he feels awful, who would have thunk?
