Week 6

[It's been six weeks and with Ricky, Kurumi, and Lightning all dead, the group that was initially 20 strong has dwindled down to only seven. Thirteen Champions have died in about a month and a half, and even the Overseers are beginning to crack. How many more will follow before this cruel experiment ends?

And again at 7 am the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call there is no new floor announcement this week.

And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

[Bolton takes a handful of popcorn, but his other hand decides to take hold of Jamie's between the seats. He's not too obvious with it, sensitive of the sole survivor of a recently sunken ship in the room, but the absent motion is there.]

Oh god, you were like sixteen. I would ask how you were never into basketball, but you were definitely not a sports kid.

[He throws a kernel of popcorn into the air, but it bounces off his nose and across the room.]

[Jamie gives Bolton's hand a small, affectionate squeeze.]

I saw it in the theater with Cindy and some friends. It was full of kids and really confused parents. [He says, like he wasn't basically a children at that point.] And it was probably worse now than it was then because it wasn't in HD.

[theoverseers]

At least theatrical releases were usually, you know, that generation's equivalent of hi-def.

I still remember sneaking into Animal House with my friends, we felt like badasses. Of course, it helped that the kid running the ticket booth bought weed from me.

[theoverseers]

Of course he did. [Flicks a popcorn kernel at him.] I think my parents went on a date to see that right before I was born.

[theoverseers]

[Bolton pulls a face.]

Don't remind me how old I am, we can't all have baby-soft skin and silken locks.

[theoverseers]

[That gets a grin and a scrunched up nose out of him.]

If you start using conditioner you too could have the silken locks. [Silken thinning locks.]

[theoverseers]

Hah! Unfortunately for me, it's my hair that's baby-soft.

[theoverseers]

Hey, there's nothing wrong with baby-soft hair. [He leans over to bump his shoulder against Bolton's.] Maybe if you shaved once in a while you could have skin to match.

[theoverseers]

[Bolton leans over and whispers something behind the curtain of Jamie's aforementioned silky hair in a flirtatious tone.]

[theoverseers]

[Jamie makes a small noise, covering his face with his free hand.]

Stop it. [Whispered with a barely concealed grin.]

[theoverseers]

Stop what?

[He asks innocently, moving their hands onto Jamie's leg.]

I have done nothing wrong.

[theoverseers]

I can make a lot of arguments against that but okay.

[theoverseers]

[He dials it down and settles in to watch the movie, snacking on popcorn.

He may also lean over and rest his head on Jamie's shoulder, thumb rubbing over the back of Jamie's hand.]
