week 2
[The second week in the Champion Excellence Program kicks off on a somber note. Chitanda, Toby, the Griffin- all three of them gone, two of them in one fell swoop. If anyone thinks to check the profiles on their P.I.P.s they will find that the dearly departed Champions' profile photos have been greyed out.
Right on the dot at 7 am the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning, as she has for the past week. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]
Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.
[The new floor isn't the only thing floating around the ship though, at least metaphorically. When the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]
[ooc: welcome to week 2, everyone! Check-in has begun and don't forget to submit your memory regains!]
Mods please, investigating the music room
[Later in the morning he can be found in there experimenting with some of the instruments, playing a few simple tunes on one of the recorders before shaking his head and putting it back.]
Nope, still doesn't feel right anymore.
[Later on, he can be found in the diner enjoying something besides the cafeteria food and MREs. It's a simple burger and
frieschips, but it's some actual food for once. He does seem to be paying a lot of attention to the little model rockets that are bringing out the food, tracking them around the restaurant and back into the 'kitchen' area.]How the hell they're cookin' all this on demand is what I'd like to know.
diner
[Look who's finally looking around here. She's staring grumpily at her plate of burger and chips, not even touching it.]

[Have a deep-fried potato, Natsuhi. They taste like salt and delicious regret.]
Place like this, there's power for refrigeration and freezing, and that's assuming they're not just teleporting in stuff fresh as-needed.

[She's learning all these things she's never even thought of before. Her husband would have been so jealous about this.]
Is it bad that I hope it's a teleported? Then we'd have a way of getting out of here...
no subject
[Well, probably. But that'd mean a LOT of floors they haven't found yet.]
And no, a teleporter that actually left this place'd be damn useful, if we could get to it.
no subject
Would you know how to use one? A teleporter, I mean, if they really do exist.

[Doctor please don't tempt fate like that.]
No matter how advanced it might be, the base tech's gonna be the same.
no subject
Is that why there's so many things that are the same for us?

[He inspects the recorder a bit more before replacing it on the rack.]
I was a different person, back then. Just doesn't quite feel right anymore, y'know?

...I'll keep that between us.

[If the worst they had to deal with was shower duty, he might have more hope. If Bolton has another incentive like the one from last week, though...]

[He gets somber for a second, remembering the crime scene.]
...She wanted to see the stars. Chitanda. More of them, anyway. She tell you that at all? Kidnapped into space an' it just made her want to explore.

Investigation
There are, however, no electronic instruments.]

[And more suspiciously new things. Whoever's funding all this really must have deep pockets.]
[Anything else that might be unusual, while he's here?]
