week 2
[The second week in the Champion Excellence Program kicks off on a somber note. Chitanda, Toby, the Griffin- all three of them gone, two of them in one fell swoop. If anyone thinks to check the profiles on their P.I.P.s they will find that the dearly departed Champions' profile photos have been greyed out.
Right on the dot at 7 am the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning, as she has for the past week. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]
Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.
[The new floor isn't the only thing floating around the ship though, at least metaphorically. When the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]
[ooc: welcome to week 2, everyone! Check-in has begun and don't forget to submit your memory regains!]

You've got some good light sourcing going here [He points to a spot on the painting.] and here but if I can make a suggestion a little more red mixed in would add a little more depth.

[He has a little red in his pallet, but it's clear he was only using it to make purple- which in turn was so blue it barely counted. He dabs a bit more in and goes back to it.]
...I see, it does add more to the shadows.
[It's weird, talking to one of the Overseers like this- but he had talked with Bolton at the game yesterday as well]

Learning color theory can save your life sometimes. These are some great purples by the way. Is this what trees look like in Nohr?

Legend has it they sprouted over the graves of Norhian soldiers that fell at Fort Dragonfall- in fact, the Hosidans claim this is why it's so large. That instead of good soil or sunlight they drink the dead. And that's why any invader that goes there never comes out.
[He gives a wry little look: not confirming or denying if that's the case]
I will say this: any non-Nohrian who goes there quickly loses their way, and are poisoned by the very ground.
[Yet he says this like he's very proud- like such a haunted place isn't horrifying]

Geez, and all we have to brag about where I'm from is good coffee and being really weird. But that's really interesting. [He sighs a little, straightening his posture and folding his arms across his chest.] I bet the scenery is gorgeous.

[He tilts his head]
Though I'm sure your home would be more interesting to someone who's never been there.

Still, any place would be more beautiful then here- even looking out that window makes me more ill then awed- I used to love the stars, but seeing them in an angle like this feels so unnatural. I don't know how Yurika and Margulis can talk about living in space all the time.
