Week 2

[The second week in the Champion Excellence Program kicks off on a somber note. Chitanda, Toby, the Griffin- all three of them gone, two of them in one fell swoop. If anyone thinks to check the profiles on their P.I.P.s they will find that the dearly departed Champions' profile photos have been greyed out.

Right on the dot at 7 am the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning, as she has for the past week. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[The new floor isn't the only thing floating around the ship though, at least metaphorically. When the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

[Honestly, Togami thought Thomasin would be an easy target. He's surprised to see she isn't. One of those balls get thrown at him, and he blocks it with one of the balls]

Hmph. Interesting...

[He mutters that, preparing himself for the next time she tries to attack him, raising both balls in the air. Is he planning something?]

[curdle]

[ She doesn't double down immediately, rushing off to fetch another ball and keep from being too easy a target, but Togami is definitely on her list of people she's going to go after! Xander won't be as easy to hit a second time, Natsuhi is out, Bolton is already a massive target, Margulis is terrifying, and honestly Sadie is probably sitting down at this point. So it's Seth, the teenage girls, and Togami, coincidentally also the members of the worst ska band ever to exist.

When she does go to attack again, hoping he's let his guard down again but not particularly expecting it, she aims squarely at his middle! What are you up to with the highballs, Togami. Reveal your secrets. ]

[Togami bats away the ball, almost gracefully, and gets ready to strike. Yeah, this is his chance! Perfect!

But unfortunately for his team, he made the mistake of coming to play dodgeball while wearing a bedsheet toga. That's not prime sportswear. He's restrained by it and kind of loses his balance, the ball he threw missing the target by a lot and leaving him wide open]

[curdle]

[ Uh oh. In going for another ball that just rolled past her feet, Thomasin's left herself motionless, and thus open to targeting. She straightens up just in time to see Togami getting ready to strike. The confidence in his stance momentarily paralyzes her, and she stands wide-eyed, her ball held about her waist, while he thriws with a determination--

Okay, or not. The ball whizzes harmlessly past her, missing by a wide margin, just as she manages to snap herself out of her frozen state. Togami is easy pickings now; she lobs the ball she's holding at his feet, then grabs and throws another. ]

I've no quarrel with thee! [ she adds apologetically, while ducking down for lucky number three. On the bright side, she's opening herself up to get picked off too! ]
