week 2
[The second week in the Champion Excellence Program kicks off on a somber note. Chitanda, Toby, the Griffin- all three of them gone, two of them in one fell swoop. If anyone thinks to check the profiles on their P.I.P.s they will find that the dearly departed Champions' profile photos have been greyed out.
Right on the dot at 7 am the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning, as she has for the past week. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]
Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.
[The new floor isn't the only thing floating around the ship though, at least metaphorically. When the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]
[ooc: welcome to week 2, everyone! Check-in has begun and don't forget to submit your memory regains!]

...no. Just forget it.
[He's not going to explain it]
It doesn't matter. It isn't like playing these instruments will help us escape.

[ Whatever!! ]
Little enough of this floor seems fit to that purpose.

[Maybe Jupiter is outside right now and any escape pods will land in there. Is it better or worse to die in Jupiter than to die in this spaceship?]

[ She's seen what it can do now, like drowning but worse. ]
I did abide long in the hold of an earthly ship. To flee to the sea in a sloop, with no map and no knowing where we are, would have lead to just as certain a death. Is that at all close to thy meaning?

And once we find out our location and the Overseers have been dealt with, we'll need someone to direct the ship -- a captain. I'll take the responsibility in my hands. [By supervising and getting others to drive while he analyzes the situation and decides where to go, mostly. He's a boss, not a worker]

Have you experience in guiding these vessels?
[ A very sincere question on her part! Surely he wouldn't base such a declaration of intent on sheer self-importance. No, what troubles her about what he's saying is the notion that any victory over the Overseers is inevitable. ]
I fear we cannot know even the extent of the station itself. At least, not yet.

[Well he has read the manuals? And that's a good first step. He's still going to let other people drive the spaceships for him, though]
Of course not. It's early in the game, but all games come to an end. Whether it's because one single person survives or because the Overseers are overthrown remains to be seen.

[ get dunked on, overseers ]
Do you really think such a mutiny possible?
no subject
[...other than Togami. He's content with it...partly]
It's all a matter of finding the Overseers' weak point and strike at the right time.
