Week 2

[The second week in the Champion Excellence Program kicks off on a somber note. Chitanda, Toby, the Griffin- all three of them gone, two of them in one fell swoop. If anyone thinks to check the profiles on their P.I.P.s they will find that the dearly departed Champions' profile photos have been greyed out.

Right on the dot at 7 am the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning, as she has for the past week. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[The new floor isn't the only thing floating around the ship though, at least metaphorically. When the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

[That screech is enough to surprise McBurn and if Natsuhi is still looking in the room at all, she'll see fire appear around McBurn and in his right hand. Then he looks over and gives a disgruntled sigh and the fire vanishes.]

Seriously you're scared of a ball?

[Yeah, sometimes he doesn't get normal strength when he hangs around insanely powerful people.]

I am when it nearly takes my head off!

[She's shouting, she's fine. She even pokes her head around to glare at him.]

[He actually doesn't glare back. In fact he's looking at the wall with a somewhat confused look. If he really used that much force it should have damage. But then the materials here are foreign to him and maybe he did miscalculate.]

And here I was actually trying not to damage anything. [His tone sounds very annoyed, though the comment isn't directed at Natsuhi.]

I don't think a ball could do much damage to a metal wall. It'd burst if you threw it to hard.

[Still glaring, because her head is a lot softer than the wall.]

And turn into a flat disc that with enough force to break bones would have at least left a dent. Would you rather I throw fire at the punching bag instead then?

Why would it turn into a disk? And don't set anything on fire!

The punching bags are quite fire resistant. It's actually almost impressive.

[And to prove his point, he throws fire at one of them. Not so much a ball of fire like he's used before, this is more like a stream of fire flying through the air and landing right on the punching bag. It has enough force behind it to also make the bag move as much as it would if it was punched with a decent amount of strength. One thing is for sure, someone knew the two fire users would want to use fire on it.]

[Whatever she's going to say does before she can start it. Instead she just yelps again.

Because, good grief. You don't just set things on fire, what is wrong with you? How did you do that? Why would you even--

Okay, deep breaths. She's just going to hunch her shoulders up. This is the new normal...]

...They really did prepare for anything.

Of course they would with two of us capable of using fire. It's rather evident they don't want any accidents to happen.

How- What is it made of? It isn't even singed.

My thoughts exactly. This place is full of so much that is obviously made to withstand whatever we can throw at them.

There's got to be something they haven't thought of... Not that we can risk testing everything. Now that they've proved we're in space. [coughwindowscough]

[Yeah, he's not too keen on messing with outer walls or the windows after seeing that execution. That's one of the few things that could kill him.]

That and the others reactions. Too many complained of me even testing the fire dousing systems.

Did you warn them first? There's that rule too... Rule 6, I'm not sure if testing everything would break it.

Rule 6-A actually. Rule 6 is the one that says I can't gleefully burn Bolton to a crisp.

I still don't understand why they didn't make that rule 7. Unless they're supposed be considered part of the station.

[Hey, if a good servant wants to be considered furniture then who's she to judge.]

I don't know, but Bolton would make a good decoration. Stuffed, of course.

... I think I'd rather never see him again.

So how would you prefer he die then?

I don't care, just as long as I don't have to see the body.

[almightyconflagration]

Let me guess, you have never seen a body before coming here?

[He has, created a few himself as well. It's just a part of life for him with the sort of abilities he had and some of the things that happened when he was younger.]

I have but they had- [She wavers.] They'd all died of natural causes.
