week 2
[The second week in the Champion Excellence Program kicks off on a somber note. Chitanda, Toby, the Griffin- all three of them gone, two of them in one fell swoop. If anyone thinks to check the profiles on their P.I.P.s they will find that the dearly departed Champions' profile photos have been greyed out.
Right on the dot at 7 am the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning, as she has for the past week. After the initial wake-up call though there's a new message tacked on:]
Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your first trial, you have unlocked the second floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.
[The new floor isn't the only thing floating around the ship though, at least metaphorically. When the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]
[ooc: welcome to week 2, everyone! Check-in has begun and don't forget to submit your memory regains!]

...I can't promise to answer, but you can ask.

With what sleep you did get...did you have a dream last night? A dream that felt real? You don't need to tell me what it was about.
no subject
...
And after something Jamison told me, I have fears that it might be the truth.

Miss Yurika said she had a dream like that, too. It felt very real, didn't it? And detailed and everything, like you were right there in that moment, right?
no subject
Jamison confirmed it to me a few days back, and told me... something he claims comes from my own 'future'. I held the knowledge until I could confirm it- telling the others this when there was nothing we could do with the information would have just caused more stress.
[He made a choice, one that might not have been fair- but he made it regardless]

That's what I'm thinking, too. It's not something I'd have believed last week, but...I had a dream as well, and it was too real not to be a memory.
[It is also so incredibly embarrassing for her. Really, what a fumbling bumble.]
Do you think they meant to tamper with our memories? Or...are they just working with something that might've happened to us on accident?
no subject
It was... eerie.
no subject
They've likely got files on us on their own PIPs. Not that that's surprising to me - how else will they figure out ways to push our limits and keep us in line with what they want? And in the meantime, all we get are those dinky little profiles on them, in addition to each other.

The balance of power is heavily in their favor... though wouldn't it be something if Bolton was in fact allergic to peanuts? It would be a fitting assassination for him.
[....joke? Yes? No?]
no subject
I kind of had a friend of mine die in his sleep by someone shoving peanuts into his mouth. He has a very severe reaction to it...er, well, it wasn't him per say, more like...an extra life, you could call it. So, I'm sorry if I'm not keen on jumping on that sort of assassination bandwagon.
[But yeah she's not saying don't try to kill Bolton with peanuts]

[Though Bolton isn't exactly reedy- though who ISN'T compared to Xander?]

[Though after her dream last night, her time seeing Jake's body on Prospit is all the more prickling and bitter.]
I think we'd all like our shot at him, but we can't just rush in and have at it. Considering what we get should we be apprehended for murder, I don't want to experience what'll happen should we outright hurt an Overseer.

I slept through most of it, but he was able to move me into another room to scare me- and I must be at least 30 pounds heavier then him.
no subject
Do you know what room it was? Perhaps it was one of those new ones on the PIP map?
no subject
[He's actually sad that Chitanda will never know- but also glad that she will never know]
no subject
And so the only way in is to break the rules...the less serious ones, at least. It must have been absolutely dreadful in there to frighten someone like you, Mister Xander.

[Now she's wondering, does she have to break a rule to get in there? Will she be put in there if the Overseers figure she's breaking a rule on purpose? So many questions...]
What a tame sort of punishment...I really expected something much more serious.
