[The Champions have now been here for one week, and while the dud of a first incentive didn't tempt anybody, the fact remains obvious: a lack of murder isn't going to be the thing that gets you out of here.

Blaze Dudely and Rox have not made a reappearance since Tuesday, leaving you to your own devices for the moment. That door they entered and exited through remains locked, and there is no new area to access this week. Are you sure they're even still back there? Despite their absence, you all wake up on Sunday morning from strange dreams. What to make of it?

You can only hope it's not a bad omen for the rest of the week.]

It certainly is interesting, I will give it that.

[He lifts it up again and gives it another, less forceful squeeze.

It lets out a very sad, plaintive weehh.]

...it does not sound very in tune, does it?

I'm not really sure it's supposed to be. Like...no one really cares what a kazoo sounds like, right?

Maybe...but there must be some way to make certain notes, right? Even on a kazoo you have that sort of functionality-

[But then he realizes that pressing different parts of the neck accomplishes that, along with changing up the way he squeezes on the little squishy note.]

...very strange.

Yeah, you kinda gotta go woooOOOOOooop. [He imitates the up-and-down motion of the neck and the squeezy part of the face with his empty hands, for lack of an otamatone right here.] I dunno, though, I'm not a musician. You'd have a better idea of how much music can actually come out of it than I would.

Heh. WoooOOOOoop.

[He repeats the motion, causing the otamatone to make all sorts of godawful noises.]

I bet I could probably learn to play something on this...not that I could guarantee it would be any good.

Not like anyone could blame you. It's obviously just something for people to screw around with, not a for-real instrument. But shit, I'd be impressed if you could make it sound decent.

It is like a recorder in that sense. Something anyone can play, but not necessarily well.

I would be quite interested to see what several of these going at once would sound like.

I don't know if anybody but me got one. But we could totally have a concert sometime! I know there's a few vuvuzelas floating around too...Yuri has one, but he wouldn't probably be into the concert thing.

Are you certain? I might be able to convince him otherwise.

Seriously? [> Doubt] I mean, if you wanna try.

[Don't doubt him Karamatsu can do anything.]

He might be a bit rough around the edges, but Yuri-kun just needs to learn how to have fun, that is all. And no one can avoid having fun when they are making bad music together.

I mean, I'd love to see the kid lighten up. Not that it's not totally warranted? But he's gonna give himself a heart attack if he's already this keyed up about everything.

I agree. Did you know that he is a world class figure skater, at his age? I can see why he is so serious, at the very least.

That kinda lifestyle always seemed awful to me, you know? Pushing kids that hard at such a young age - they should be able to enjoy themselves while they're young. But I guess he'd probably say I'm an underachiever, so.

[Shrug. He's pretty alright with his life, but he is not an Olympic-level anything.]

Likewise. It is fine to encourage your children to be their best, but...he should be enjoying his childhood, not spending it working.

But...as tightly wound as he is, he does seem proud of what he has accomplished. I can respect that.

Yeah. I'd never say something like that to him, it's important to him.

...seems like there's lots of kids who didn't get to enjoy their childhoods here, though.

That it does. It is a shame, really? I mean...my brothers and I lived life to the fullest when we were children. We did not really care about much of anything beyond going to school and playing when we were home.

[Doesn't change the fact that they were little hellions, but aren't most kids terrible?]

Yeah. They shouldn't be stuck with...fighting magic monsters, or whatever. Or being here, but that's a whole different set of shit.

It really puts your own home into perspective, seeing where all of the others are from. It is a little shocking how many other worlds there are out there.

Yeah, right? I've read books and stuff with alternate universes in them, but I never really thought it was real. At least, not like this. I'm probably one of the most normal, non-magic people here.

[karappo]

That is probably for the best that you are, non? You have seen how crazy our lives can be.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if ours was just...very normal, very average.

Yours sounds pretty normal? I mean, not normal with me as a baseline, with the...identical sextuplet child stars and everything. But comparatively.

Also hey, have you noticed that this thing that's going on isn't translating your random French? [we're allowed to point out the random French, right?]

I have no idea? I mean, it's not like we can't all figure out what "non" is if we don't know, but still.

[He looks up at the ceiling.]

So, if I start using random Spanish when I talk, that's gonna work, si? [.....] Cool, I hate it!

...maybe it takes note of the context of which we are using the words. Presumably, I am still speaking in Japanese currently...but occasionally I will use english or french words when I am speaking. But it is taking my speech still and translating it into something you would understand, if you did not already speak Japanese...
