Week 2
[The Champions have now been here for one week, and while the dud of a first incentive didn't tempt anybody, the fact remains obvious: a lack of murder isn't going to be the thing that gets you out of here.
Blaze Dudely and Rox have not made a reappearance since Tuesday, leaving you to your own devices for the moment. That door they entered and exited through remains locked, and there is no new area to access this week. Are you sure they're even still back there? Despite their absence, you all wake up on Sunday morning from strange dreams. What to make of it?
You can only hope it's not a bad omen for the rest of the week.]
(( Don't forget to turn in your AC for Week 1, submit your memory regain, and turn in your Benefactor threads! ))
SUNDAY

She kisses her. Long, and desperate, as the world crashes around them, rain slicking their hair to their faces.
...She tries to smile for her. One last time.
"And Max Caulfield? Don't you forget about me."
Oh.
She doesn't have to worry after all. She really was...the Champion of Max Caulfield.
It takes Chloe awhile to come out of her room this morning. She misses breakfast. When she finally leaves, she finds...a collection of things, outside her door. She won't question it. In fact, Chloe laughs. How familiar, how nice. Strange, though. Her bracelet's missing. She heads back inside and now, for the rest of the day, she's adorned in something much more her style than the same-ass space suit spandex.
The things she's received, however... She first-things-first stomps into the cafeteria at about noon and clears her throat, announcing: ]
Hello, Champions! I would like to request the presence from one Karamatsu Matsuno! [ ...She's holding up...oh god, is that a pair of underwear with his face on them? Yes! Yes, it is. Thankfully, she's not touching them, rather holding them up with a pair of chopsticks. ] Please direct him to me! Thaaank you!
[ Satisfied, she'll sit back down to have...some granola, actually, and some of that coffee with some gross-ass syrup. Feel free to also catch her with her illustration pen, covering the door Rox and Blaze used in graffiti. It's a lot of silly caricatures of them, a copious amount of the word fuck and various rude gestures. She's a pretty okay artist, for what she's doing.
The rest of the day sees her flitting around a bit. In the library, she's looking at something else she found outside her door. A...graduation album? That's what it looks like, and it looks...like there's someone familiar in there. She doesn't want to snoop through it too much. Where's Miki? Girl should probably get a talking to.
After that, most of her time's in the art room. This time, she's putting her art to paper. There's a camera, and...as best she can? A girl.
Chloe walks about like she owns the place, though she's...it's immediately obvious, if you see her. That anger from last week, it's gone. It's replaced by something.
Resignation. ]

...and seeing those underwear just puts him into a frenzy of wheezing, hand banging on the table laughter. Not the most helpful thing especially when he's the brother of the guy who's face is on said underwear but can you really blame him?]

He drops his fork in his haste to get up, standing up and nearly knocking his own chair back.]

[Now usually Karamatsu would react with understanding, and probably just want them back...but apparently he's just as surprised as Chloe is.
And also starting to realize why everyone is...laughing...]

except Osomatsu, and he's happy to chat while looking for those who haven't showed up with worry. Still, distracted, he only picks at his food and pretty soon excuses himself without finishing it.Pretty soon after, he'll be in the men's showers, looking at himself in the mirror. There's a bottle of something on the sink ledge, and he tugs thoughtfully on those soft, floppy bangs as if he's about to make a change.
But he doesn't. He just braces himself on the sink, breathes out, and examines his reflection once more, as if there's something there he doesn't understand.
In the afternoon, he brings a few snacks to the cafeteria, since that seems to be the central gathering place, but perhaps of more interest is the sick coeurl-pattern jacket he's got folded over his arm. It's too small for him, but perhaps not for you?
After that, he just looks a little lost. Wherever there are people, he'll drift towards them to at least be around someone, but he's clearly not up to his usual springy self.]

It hits her like a tonne of bricks when she wakes up. Finding those documents, bringing them to the girls and the fall out of everything - how stupid had she been not to realise that Megumi Sakura would have known about these documents and the others would see that as a betrayal? And then Kurumi had vanished and come back bleeding and bitten, and her screams of pain are echoing in her ears and then she'd be down in that basement with the smell of stagnant water and a shovel clutched in her hands. Fear in her veins and blood splattering up her arms and across her clothes as she brought the blade of the shovel down on the shambling, groaning remains of Megumi Sakura.
"We're all doing just fine, so please--!! Please... rest well."
She doesn't come out of her room for a long time that morning. When she does, she goes straight to the library and hauls herself up in there. She doesn't leave for a while - there's a book in her lap, a new one now, but she doesn't seem to be reading it at all. Just staring at the pages.
When she finally goes back to her room, she comes across a selection of items, which she's quick to heft out of there and into the kitchen area because she really doesn't want to be alone in that room right now. She busies herself making some tea with the pot she found in the supplies - matcha, and just the smell of it is heartwarming and breaking all at once.
Once she's settled with a cup, she begins sifting through the items. There aren't many, but some of them might be familiar to one or two people?
If you run into her at other points during the day you might note she seems... preoccupied. Maybe a little guilty, and not entirely focused on what's going on in front of her. Miki Naoki is doing what she does best though - trying to bottle things up and crack a lid on it so it doesn't impact her interactions with other people. How successful that is is... questionable.]

Not the monsters going out of control. Not the duel with, not Pegasus, but a punk named Amelda. Not even the surprise card, not Critias the dragon, that helped him make the duel a draw. Not the message left for them all at I2's headquarters. Not Doma buying out his company. Not Yuugi losing a duel to some punk nobody, and not the lifeless, distant look on Yuugi's face (on the other Yuugi's face), not daring to look up. Not Amelda on his plane, trying desperately to get his revenge. The vision of Amelda's past, thanks to the Seal of Orichalcos. That young boy dying before his eyes. (Due to Gozaburo's influence? His weapons, his machines of war.) The promise to save Mokuba in one final draw. The image of dragons helping the plane land as safely as it could. Carrying Amelda's limp, soulless body.
He awakes in a cold sweat and doesn't come out for breakfast. He has to make sense of all this.
It's later in the morning that he comes out for a shower, then the cafeteria for coffee, eats something small and quick and honestly probably just a granola bar from the stock room.
Yuugi lost, souls are being taken, Yuugi lost, mystery cards are appearing, Yuugi lost, Pegasus is gone, Yuugi lost, his company is out of his grasp, Yuugi lost, a brother gave all he could to seek revenge, Yuugi lost--
In what seems like a very abrupt fit of rage, Kaiba hurls his chair at a wall, where it clatters off harmlessly to the floor. And just like that, he's back in control. Or so it seems. He leaves immediately after, maybe give him some space?
In the art room, he actually makes use of some of the supplies, attempting to draw a dark and imposing dragon with massive claws. There are other scribbles, other dragons, or other attempts. Occasionally a young boy. Occasionally a strange almost satanic looking symbol. Occasionally downcast eyes, sharply angled, sad but pretty. Though they're rough sketches, he's actually pretty good.
Later, in the library, he wouldn't call himself frantic. But he does go flipping through any business-related or economic books he can, quickly, increasingly frustrated. Maybe this place doesn't have a Doma. It's all made up and fake anyway, isn't it? Damn it all, he needs to fix this.
So this is a fun day, huh.]

Did you- um. Have some kind of- vision, or memory last night? ...a dream?
[Later on in the day she can be found in the game room, intently reading through the Players Handbook for Dungeons and Dragons. Alternatively, she'll be in the library, carefully checking titles in the non-fiction books, occasionally flipping through the table of contents.]

The feeling that fills her, this shock, this desire, this elation, it fills every inch of her body down to her fingers and toes. Like an electric current, it thrums beneath her skin, squeezing her slow heartbeat faster and faster until it pounds so hard in her chest that she nearly chokes. It hurts, it hurts, it hurts from how long she's been numb, and all she can do is stare upward with her face twisted into an ecstatic smile. Her hand stretches toward the ceiling, fingers curling as they reach for someone who isn't there, and tears sting her eyes from how good it feels and how much she hurts.
She skips breakfast. Food doesn't seem very important to her now. Instead, she heads for the art room and sets to work. Her stack of paper and pencils soon becomes as a disorganized pile of scattered drawings. Most of them seem to all be of the same man, with blond hair and green eyes and a knight's armor. They're more skilled than you might expect from a girl her age who has professed no interest in art thus far, though they're nothing phenomenal. The earliest drawings are stiff and technical, but ones closer to the top seem to have been an experiment in different types of stylization. Particular attention has been paid attention to that man's eyes in all of them.
Amongst the sea of repetitive portraits, though, there's the occasional sketch of some clothing that doesn't seem like it should belong to the same set of images at all. They appear to be...wedding dresses?
Later on in the day, Manaka can be found in the library. Instead of the mystery novels she had taken to reading during her first week here, her stack of books is something different entirely. It looks like she's scrounged up not only every book on Arthurian legend she can find in the library, but also books that seem to be only tangentially related to the subject—fantasy novels, period dramas with knights, and a particularly organized stack of romance novels that seems to overlap with the relevant genres.
Manaka isn't reading now, though. Instead, she's sprawled out on the seating, clutching a stuffed doll that looks suspiciously similar to the man she had been drawing earlier. She rolls back and forth like a particularly delighted child, her flushed face buried against the top of that doll's head, and...
Squees?? Is there any other word for the noise she's making? Probably not.]

By the time he shows up in the art room for later in the morning, he's wearing a totally different outfit for once. The change seems to have made him a lot more comfortable - he's even wearing a pair of slippers. Though there's a plate of breakfast on the table, he seems to be more focused on the sketchbook in his hands, and he looks up if anybody enters to ask:]
Hey, you want a picture? I can draw you something.
[Later in the afternoon, he retreats back to Room 6. The door is shut, but there's a handwritten note taped to it.]

[He's drawn a little cartoony Blaze Dudely underneath it, for some reason? Like the caricatures of the man Chloe left on the door, he looks super stoned.
Also, uh, there is a definite smell of weed around here. Sounds like he's willing to share!]

No - they are running. She's not alone as the menacing purple light blooms out behind them, her father is there, right alongside her, and her mask is off and her hair is down and why is that, why, why is he pushing her to the ground as a bolt of power strikes just where she was, it's almost like
Almost like he knows who she is, and wants to protect her.
When they lift their heads and look back, it's just like it was in the doomed future - Grima, emerging from the mist, larger than life and exuding raw power, surveying the land they plan to destroy. There's a terrible, gnawing pit in her stomach at the sight of it, knowing just who would have cowed their will to the Fell Dragon within. How much time had passed since she came through the Outrealm Gate? What had happened to Emmeryn? Basilio? Her friends, her brother, her-
Grima roars, the sound deafening, but her father is right beside her. That's how she can hear him say, "All right...now what...?"
But she can't answer him. Everything in her heart is weighted with the deepest despair.
"Grima...It's all over..."
In Room 2 of the space station, Lucina wakes up screaming.
She doesn't come out for breakfast on Sunday. She doesn't even come into the cafeteria until lunchtime, a distinct redness to her still-damp eyes and a too-quiet sort of air to her bearing. She doesn't eat much, just...picks at the blandest thing being served, eating very slowly with a hand that shakes far too much for her to even get a spoonful of anything into her mouth. More often than not, Lucina has to take her other hand and hold the one with the spoon in its grasp to try and quell the shaking, but...she won't say anything. She doesn't reach out to anyone around. Maybe...someone ought to check up on her?
Later on in the evening, it at least looks like Lucina's showered and made an effort to be presentable, but there's still a very distinct tension in her movements. She's pushed a small red car full of foreign objects into the library and is going through them, examining each with a distracted eye before setting them on a table in front of her.

Either way, Karamatsu mulls over it as he gets ready for the morning, though when he comes back into his room after a shower he notices that the dumbwaiter...has things in it. And when he goes to check what they are...it's quite the number of items from slippers to a large glass bowl. But there is something else folded up underneath it all...]
Oh...Oh my God!!
[Comes Karamatsu's voice through his door, and not long after there's a chorus of excited exclamations and a lot of rustling...something's going on in there...
Then, right as breakfast is starting, one Karamatsu Matsuno bursts through the doors to the Cafeteria with all the fervor and excitement that only Karamatsu could have, his deep voice booming through the area:]
MY FASHION IS BACK!!
[Sunglasses, jacket, shades, pants and all. The pants are so sparkly that they reflect the light almost too much.
Karamatsu and his chosen title have truly come full circle.
Later on in the day, you might come across Karamatsu in the Game Room shuffling a deck of cards he'd gotten this morning. He's surrounded by other decks of cards from all sorts of card games, and if you walk up to him he'll smile, looking up from above the rims of his shades.]

Zombina's confused and frustrated mood was quickly lifted when she noticed some items in the dumbwaiter in her room. No way. Could- could it be!? Zombina tossed aside the athletic wrap, blanket, and Vuvuzela to snatch her prize- no- her salvation from the dumbwaiter and hold it aloft!]
YES! FUUUUUUCK YES!
[The Attack On Titan Levi x Eren Yaoi Doujin practically shone in the bathroom light as Zombina held the r-18 material in the air!
Later that day in the library Zombina can be found curled up in her large blanket and making no effort at all to conceal the fact she's reading the yaoi manga she received. Her champion title is probably making way more sense now.
Even later in the day, Zombina can be found loudly playing- or at least attempting to-the Vuvuzela outside the door Rox and Blaze used.
In the evening, Zombina can be found messing around with some paints and a canvas in the art room. It appears that she's trying to paint a black hole.]

yuri wakes up in a sour mood. he doesn't eat breakfast nor does he emerge from his room for a couple of hours. when he does, he finds an assortment of things outside of his door. anyone passing by may find that he's mostly attracted to the cat pillow? it's kind of a cute sight. but his expression is still as sour as always--maybe even a little more so today.
what the fuck is that outfit, though. he looks at it and scrunches his nose--he's not wearing that. nuh-uh.
finally, he can be seen in the cafeteria holding up the vuvuzela.
he's going to blow on it.
it is possibly the worst thing you have heard in your entire life. ]

spoilers for ffxv: kingsglaive
King Regis, his voice calm, speaks to her. "I know your mother would wish the same as me. That you and Noctis live happily. All those years captive because I failed you. Not again. Locked doors will seal your fate no longer."
"King Regis..." is what she manages to reply with before the king addresses the man now tasked with her safety.
"Our hope goes with you now, Nyx Ulric. Godspeed."
Nyx starts dragging her away, but she stops him when the elevator carrying the enemy they were running from is crushed. Then the fight begins, King Regis holding his own as well as an ailing and injured man can. Yet he fails. Lunafreya watches in horror as the once proud king, a man she never blamed for the fall of her kingdom, a man she admired greatly, is taken down. The last words he speaks to her is a simple "Go," and she must restrain Nyx from attacking the General. They had to leave...
Luna wakes with a start, breath caught in her chest as she orients herself. This wasn't the secret passage. This was the station. We must go. This is what your king wanted. Prompto was right, but it did not make the memory any less painful...
Any who come across Luna will find her much more subdued compared to their first week there. She will be mostly holed up in the library, idly reading a book about space since she knows little of the subject. Around dinner she will be in the cafeteria. Her dinner remains largely untouched due to poor appetite, so anyone who wants a second helping will more than likely be able to get her to share. After dinner is over, those who wish to speak with her will have to go to room 16, her room, to find her.]

That certainly explains some things. Not everything and in a way it only brings up more questions, but... some things. In any case, it doesn't stop Slaine from making it to breakfast on time, although he continues to hang around in the cafeteria after that. As for what he's doing, well, honestly it seems like he's fucking around with the espresso machine? That is to say, he looks like he has no idea what the hell he's doing here and basically trying to figure out what's going on by sheer tenacity and good ol' trial and error. The later you find him though, the more likely he'll have actually made a couple of espresso shots, even if they probably taste... less than desirable, if the expression Slaine makes is any indication.
How much good coffee is he wasting here anyways? (Probably too much.)
Later in the afternoon, you might see him puttering about the storage room, mostly transferring items (and sorting them because why the fuck not apparently) and leaving around a bunch of empty boxes. He doesn't seem to be taking anything for himself though. Curious!!
Or not, if you see him in the art room later on. Because that sure is a box fort. It's probably not a very good box fort and it's probably only wide enough to fit two people maximum, but it exists as a testament to one teenager's poor construction skills. At least the walls are high enough to sit there without people seeing you? Or obscure someone from some of the visible cameras, at least.]

He was dead. He was alive. And things were still bad, but they had an idea of what to do next. And Akira was a man that did best when he had a heading. So when he came out into the cafeteria with the spoils from his dumbwaiter, there was an air of mischievous joy to him.
Might be why there's a wolf kigu of all things on is head. Or more specifically the hood is over his head, the rest of the pajamas draped over his back like a cape- they are clearly too small for him. If approached you might even get a:]
Gao~
[For your troubles. But that's not all he has. In his arms is a medium tv of all things, a CRT tv in fact. And pushed in front of him with his feet is a small box full of wires and game system with a few carts as well. Once he reaches the tables he puts the tv down and lifts the box up too, pawing through it.]

She's a little confused, because surely this can't be real, can it?
After she settles herself on that, though, you can find her in the hallways, looking over her loot. Glitter bomb refills, plushies, otamatones, and... Dental dams.
It is the dental dams giving her the most confusion. What are these for? Prophylactic?
And towards the end of the day, Korra is in the art room, writing down notes. She's not into this whole note thing, but, honestly... Mako did it, and Mako was pretty smart? But she doesn't even know what she should write.
Maybe this was pointless.]
