[The Champions have now been here for one week, and while the dud of a first incentive didn't tempt anybody, the fact remains obvious: a lack of murder isn't going to be the thing that gets you out of here.

Blaze Dudely and Rox have not made a reappearance since Tuesday, leaving you to your own devices for the moment. That door they entered and exited through remains locked, and there is no new area to access this week. Are you sure they're even still back there? Despite their absence, you all wake up on Sunday morning from strange dreams. What to make of it?

You can only hope it's not a bad omen for the rest of the week.]

[Rox’s voice is icy. A thin bead of purple blood wells from a cut on her cheek and rolls down her face to drop off of her chin.]

[Rox doesn’t reply to Blaze, just fixed her gaze on Chloe as she pulls out a gun in silence and points it at the defenseless girl.]

[ Through her tears, Chloe can see it.

She wonders, just how many times...has she died this way?

The round isn’t explosive, but there’s definitely more than just blood splattered onto the floor, on Chloe’s clothes, on Blaze Dudely standing behind her.]

[But he’s too late. Her head jerks backward, sprays him with blood and tissue and hair, and then her corpse slumps forward only as far as his hands still on her wrists will let her. He doesn’t drop her, but he slowly lets go, standing back up straight. There’s blood on his shirt, on his pants, on his hands. He wipes his beard on the shoulder of his shirt, looking at her body with an unreadable look on his face.]

[She wipes the purple blood from her cheek on her sleeve, cold fury twisting her expression.]

[Wordlessly, Prompto just sinks to his knees. The only sound he makes isn't even his, but the clatter of his own video pad falling out of his nerveless fingers.

And now she's a corpse on the floor, nothing but a blood splatter and a warning to all of those crazy enough to try the same.

Karamatsu hadn't realized that he'd been gripping Osomatsu's arm since Chloe went for Rox, but he definitely is. He's still quiet, motionless, white as a sheet.

[ Roxy just kind of. Stares. She's surprisingly less... freaked out than one might think a sixteen-year-old girl who talks like she does would be? Her voice is. Weirdly even. ]

Tsurugi is just staring in horror, at Chloe's corpse. His fists clench and shake, anger mixing very well with shock right now. Just like that... She's gone, just like that.]

[This is entirely too much and all he wants to do is fight back, which is hard to do when the evidence for why they can't is literally lying right there.

[Everyone seems to be stopping one another. They made a plan, or the vague beginnings of a plan, and he can't let anything happen to Mokuba.

He can't let Rox just shoot a girl in cold blood.

Kaiba sprints at the sight of a gun, trained on Chloe, willing long legs get him there--

He all but skitters to a halt by what is now just her body, a corpse. If he's right--if he's right, then death in this game means death out there, too.

His fists ball, cold stare going from the bloody mess that was once Chloe's head, up to Rox.]

[Lunafreya is no stranger to violence and killing. She has seen things along this caliber and much worse. It doesn't stop her from feeling guilty, for not being able to do more than walk calmly over to Chloe's body and kneel down beside it. Her hands shake slightly as she places them on the dead girls shoulders.]

I am so sorry... [For what? For many things. Despite being the Oracle, death is not something she can reverse.] If... no, when I meet your Max, I will tell her you were brave and never forgot about her. I promise.

[She gets up quietly and turns to the others. With a nod to them, a stern look as a warning, she walks out of the room to wash the blood off of her hands.]

[Softly, Manaka exhales.

A gun... A gun? She doesn't have much experience with guns. She wonders, though, if Rox could really kill all of them, if they all decided to come at her at once. Now clearly isn't the time to test that, though; Chloe's unceremonious punishment has shaken the others, and that pause is enough for them to lose whatever advantage they might have had by pressing down on her without delay.

Manaka flexes her fingers, just slightly. Her magic circuits... They feel like a faucet that has been rusted over until only the barest trickle of water can pass through. Like this... Yeah, like this, she shouldn't chance it. She can wait.

But she isn't going to forget this transgression.]

[It's such a familiar sound to him that he doesn't even need to look over to know what happened. Was this how it was going to be? He wants to do anything he can to stop her somehow, but he knows that Yuri and Miki are right. He'll just get himself killed. So he can only grit his teeth and stare at Chloe's body.

[ It's not the blood that rattles her, it's the suddenness of the entire scene. First, Chloe's there, she's pissed but she's fine and then she's suddenly pulling out a knife, and it happens before there's a gun and she's gone register in Marisa's brain.

And everyone's screaming, and for once in her life, Marisa willingly hangs back from the action. ]

[ She'll get back up, right? It just knocked her on the head for a while, but she'll get back up, like everyone else does after a fight. ]

[Max, for one, seemed more confused than upset about his own motive envelope. When people started freaking out, he stuffed the little video thing away and turned to try to keep an eye on the people behind him. Just in case anyone did anything stupid.

Chloe was on the other side of the room.]

[He bolts forward unthinkingly.]

[Zombina wasn't paying attention. She was too busy staring at the now trashed house where everyone she gave a damn about was just a moment before. He mind just... like a record skipping. She only snapped out of it at the noise of everything going down.]

[Zombina barely processed what happened. When Chloe's blood splattered though, everything went red as Zombina grabbed the chair nearest to her.]

[Jamie watches his video with growing, white-knuckled distress. He can hear people shouting around him but his attention is almost completely set on watching a dark-haired woman in hospital scrubs smiling and chatting with a man also wearing scrubs at a nurses' station. When it cuts to the nurses' station looking utterly destroyed it feels like someone's punched him square in the gut and fills his brain with fog and static. They have Cindy. They're going to hurt Cindy. They're going to put her through this stupid experiment too where is his sister-

Then Chloe's rage-filled yells cut through the fog and static and he watches her attack and quickly get taken down.]

Chloe!

[He sees the gun, sees the explosion of blood and Chloe go limp. His breath catches in his throat and for a long, agonizing few seconds he's paralyzed...until he drops to the floor in a dead, useless faint.]
