[With the sudden pirate takeover and the sudden, tragic deaths of the crew, the second week of the Starfield Penitentiary rehabilitation project is off to a rough start. After Price's call for parlay with the pirate captain, he was not seen for the remainder of Saturday but around 10 pm it is his calm but tense voice that makes the time announcement.

Buckle in, Champions, things are about to get bumpy.]

[Anyone going in to the mess hall today is in for a surprise.

The greater majority of the tables have been moved to the corners of the room, the chairs neatly stacked on top of them. A few remain in the center, and they've been positioned on their sides to create an octagon shape. In this 'ring' is arranged a number of...actual mats, of all things, their padding neatly set up to guard against harsh falls and throws. Only on the ground, though; there's no protection if you, say, get knocked in to a wall. No nets, no ropes- nonetheless, it's clear that someone's set up as close to an Actual Fighting Ring as they can.

Considering Akande's lingering about the entire time it's set up, though, it might not be too difficult to piece together who's responsible. His sling is gone, his jumpsuit half off and tied around his waist to reveal how his restored right arm attaches to his chest .

Either way, would you care to step in to the ring? Or perhaps you're just here to spectate? Either way, it's one way to blow off some steam.]

[Oda shows up fairly early, before setup is completely finished, and looks over what Akande's done.]

...Do you have water ready for after the fights? I can fill up some bottles if you don't yet.

[Well, lunch just got a bit more interesting.]

[Leon doesn't wanna get into fighting people if he wants to live, so he's just gonna watch and eat his sandwich.]

Rick is setting up a table by the fights where he offers loud commentary, and also has the two items he's willing to trade/bet (some sort of scroll/tablet and a photo of a butterfly) on display.]

Will does a circuit of the new layout - he's never seen an actual "underground" (underspace?) fight club before. Considering their lack of resources, he's actually surprised by the amount of mats Akande has managed to find.

[ Noctis is sure the hell here. He's spent the past couple of days trying to work off his nervous energy, and he's glad for this. He shows up wearing a black suit--thank the gods he got something that apparently belongs to him, if the photos on Prompto's camera are any indication--due to his forgoing the cape that went along with the outfit. He's ready to rumble, and he rolls his head along his shoulders and shakes himself out a little before he fights.

[The last few days have not been kind to miss Nikos. She's lost a friend, an acquaintance, and another friend just when she couldn't stop him. In a spectacular turn, the meeting had helped bring her spirits up a bit, but it wasn't enough. And after that, while she was coming to the mess hall for lunch, was when she remembered the talk she had with Akande the previous week.

Space Fight Club. The idea they had last week, it was happening. And, being perfectly honest, Pyrrha needed to blow off steam.

So yeah, she's in the ring, ready and willing. She's also wearing something different, though she's forgoing the jacket and other small details in fair of a simpler outfit. She's here to rumble - politely, if possible.]

[Overnight transformation much? She's excited for the action. It's not clear if she's just here to watch or spectate yet, but she seems to want to do the latter at least. But there's also... an aura about this one. She wouldn't mind blowing off a little steam with a good looking guy.]

[Soma is here today, still with a darkened expression, but at least he's approaching people this time. In fact, he walks right up to Akande without a word, his own jumpsuit half off and tied just like the bigger man's, and bows before settling into a fighting stance. He's clearly tense but there's something incredibly focused in his gray eyes.

Fight me, his body language says. Let me vent this frustration, I know you understand.]

[ mako is absolutely here for this. he really, really needs to let out some of the pent up frustration he's had over the past few days. he enters the ring, still in his space suit but ready for a throw down. he may not look super strong, but don't underestimate him! let's do this. ]

[Mozu steps into the ring, armed to the teeth and prepared to throw the fuck down.

Hahaha, no. No, she is not. She's just here to spectate with some concern, perhaps, but also because she was heading to the kitchen anyway, so she may as well provide some refreshments for fighters and other spectators. She's currently working on a little bit of stir fry, but really? Maybe ask her to try something.

[ Well, she still doesn't have her limbs, but Kiss-Shot is here, regardless. There was a duel promised, and to back down from it when the stage is so clearly set would be an affront to her pride.

She doesn't challenge him immediately, though. Instead, she opts to observe a few of his other spars, first, watching his movements. Seeing how he fights. How quickly he moves, how much force he uses. What she should do to adapt here, without Heartspan or her body at full strength.

...Don't mind her, if she's quiet, here. ]

[Alexander isn't bothering taking on anyone at fight club today. He has quickly become well aware of just how human he is.

Why is he here, then, exactly?

...Because he's absolutely having a great time sitting back and watching these buff dudes and ladies smack the crap out of each other. This is possibly the best time he's had watching anything on this ship go down. However, it isn't too long into the endeavor before Hamilton seems to disappear. It looks like he isn't sticking around for the entirety of the match, and has gone back to his cell.]

[It's not until things are winding down after several fights against Doomfist that there's a now familiar (and ominous) step KATHUNK coming toward the mess hall until finally there's Blaze Dudely without his usual robot escorts.

He's not approaching the ring immediately but he is close and watching the goings on with amusement.]

[In the immediate aftermath of the Akande vs Blaze Dudely fight, there's the sound of loud, furious swearing, and the source becomes apparent quickly. Alexander Hamilton is dragged into the room hoisted between two robots. His hair is matted with blood from a cut along his hairline that's bleeding down into his eye, and he has a bruise blossoming on his cheek.

The rest of his hair is curlier than normal, frizzed out with static electricity.

And ya boy is hissing and spitting like an angry, rapping cat.]

[It's only a matter of time before the bloody baseball makes it's debut in cell 1. Noticing something under the bed, Fukawa crawls under to investigate. The next thing that's heard is a loud bang and a screech, the latter being Fukawa's head hitting on the bottom of the bed.

...she emerges a very different person. Not only is she laughing oddly-- she moves oddly. It's almost like she's possessed. Because one look at her shows that some things don't appear as they should. On top of that she's gleefully bouncing a bloody baseball.]

Gyahahah--!! What's this, what's this?

[And quickly one will note that she talks faster too. Almost like she's rambling wildly. Certainly without any filter for what she says.]

Hmmm~? Huh? Huuuh?? Where am I? [She pokes her head out into the hallway] He~lloooooo?

[Although she'll probably have figured out the gist of what's going on by now, that doesn't mean she won't be lurking. She's quick and quiet. Since she's getting her first investigation of the ship, she could pop up on you anywhere. And without warning.]

[No one has to tell Oda that something is wrong with Fukawa when he sees her in the hallway. There's the different speech pattern, the baseball, and also the tongue.]

[He's instantly on alert, watching her from a good distance away... or what would be a good distance if she were slower.]

[ It's a peaceful Wednesday night in Cell 11 until around 4 a.m., at which point Rideaux is hunched over the toilet, throwing up -- albeit pretty quietly, because hey, he's had a lot of practice being subtle with this kind of thing. His life sure is great!! Too bad you took that anti-emetic out of their cell to the storage room, isn't it, roommate?

BUT that's pretty par for the course, and later in the morning when the sun would hypothetically be up if they weren't in space, everything seems perfectly normal, and he's as perfectly put together as ever, regrettable wardrobe options aside.

For much of the day, you can find him in the library (because he's really not interested in watching you all beat each other up in the mess hall tbh), reading through whatever medical texts he can find in the nonfiction section, and possibly judging you for your own reading selections. ]

[ when mako's not doing fight club, looking at fukawa weird, or MIA for some reason, he's going to be looking at the ceilings in various places throughout the station. weird....he's doing it kind of frequently, too. mako, are you okay?

furthermore, he'll also be stopping in random places throughout the ship to draw something on a piece of paper. upon closer inspection, it's.......kind of bad art. as in his lines are wobbly and they're just basic scribbles with some writing on it. wonder what it is... ]

[ mako's up, early as usual, though he's a bit later to rise than will is. still, he gets ready as per usual, doing whatever policemen do to start their day...including a cup of tea. what's interesting, though, is that he doesn't return to cell 6 as he usuall does. rather, he's pacing outside of the counselor's office. it's before his office hours have even started, too--is it blaze's right now, dear lord he's not going in there--but he seems...pensive about something. very pensive.

[When Thursday morning rolls around, so does Cheryl... in a brand new Christine Junior, somewhat confused about why the heck it was even around. This lasts for a few minutes, before she starts experimenting with putting different items i side the seat and pushing it around, or trying to tie things to the hood and wheel them around. Seems she's trying to make some use of it.

In the afternoon, she can be found in and out of the library, when she's not dropping by the mess hall.

In the evening, she's going to go looking for some of those robots. Anyone who wants to join the shenanigans is welcome. ]
