week 2
[With the sudden pirate takeover and the sudden, tragic deaths of the crew, the second week of the Starfield Penitentiary rehabilitation project is off to a rough start. After Price's call for parlay with the pirate captain, he was not seen for the remainder of Saturday but around 10 pm it is his calm but tense voice that makes the time announcement.
Buckle in, Champions, things are about to get bumpy.]
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday

WEDNESDAY
MEETING #2
early in the morning, mako will slip notes under everyone's cell again, just like last week. ]
We need to talk about everything that's happened. We've already lost three people; we can't afford to lose another. Meeting in the cafeteria at 3pm. Tea and dumplings will be provided.
- Mako
[ and like last time, paper and pens are provided. ]
We need some kind of plan of action. We can't just sit around and give in like this. Not when people's lives are at stake.
Anyone have any ideas?

[om nom free dumplings. those can wait, though, he's leaning forwards.]
The boy died because he rushed in without any sort of plan or thought. If any of you [and he looks around at everyone in turn] intend on doing the same, then it would be kinder to end your life now.
Assume that our new Captain can kill any one of us at any time. Do not test that.
no subject
[Leon awkwardly gulps down a bite of dumpling before he speaks up.]
But how do you expect us to get more info? We're all kind of cramped into one floor, y'know. The only source of info is the library, and that's just the basic stuff.

Or do test it, and give us one less person to have to worry about falling for his threats and coming after one of the rest of us.
[ and before anyone has a chance to get indignant about that, he holds up a finger. ]
I'm just saying, someone foolish enough to go charging in with no information is probably the same kind of person who would be gullible and desperate enough to kill one of us if the circumstances were right.

[She still can't believe what an idiot Shirou was.]
This is most likely part of a sick game he wants to show the world, he'll follow the rules. S-so don't needlessly provoke him. If you investigate, he won't get in your way.
[Rules. She's confident in them.]
If you follow the rules, the o-only thing that will kill you is s-someone else in this room or t-trying to kill someone.

So - take advantage of the lack of rules.

What I meant was that we shouldn't just be waiting around until someone else hits the bucket; we should be trying to find a way out of here if at all possible. I know we don't have much information yet, but...

Once again, Oda hauls his stash of items to the mess haul and puts up the 'take whatever' sign. He really can't use most of those... This time, to amuse himself, he's looking through the tarot card deck. He doesn't really know anything about the cards, but they certainly look nice.
After the meeting, he's in the library, flipping through a book about tarot card meanings with his deck on the table. If you approach, he'll make an offer:]
I don't really know anything about tarot cards, but I can try to do a reading for you if you want.
[...even later, when most people have gone to bed or are about to, he can be found with one of the mats Akande got propped up against the end of the hallway, punching it repeatedly.
He hates feeling helpless when his children are at risk.]

Well, anyway. He thinks all this fortune telling stuff is stupid; even if it wasn't made-up garbage, he wouldn't accept what anyone else told him his future should be. But... he also kind of enjoys trashy stuff like this anyway, even if he won't admit to it. ]

For a half-hour or so, she just spends time outside cell 1, inspecting the small pile of things that has her name on it. The bubble wrap provides a momentary distraction, the oil and "lubricant" are set aside for now... what interests her most are the clothes.
The jersey is instantly recognizable, the uniform... not so much. She tries the jacket portion on at least, though it definitely doesn't look like the rest will fit her.
Later, once... that's been figured out, she's gone into the kitchen, seemingly to fiddle with some of the food there. She's just cooking a few eggs in a pan right now. Nothing special, unless you take purple eggs for strange.
Yeah she's giving them an odd look too.]

Oh, hey... Where did that come from?
