Week 1

[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.

Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.

I'll be asking Wakasa to be in charge of the kitchen, but I'm a little more interested in this place. Tattoo's are great. Would you rather be the second person for the garden, kitchen, or foyer of we're doing that? I'll be letting Roland know about any of these decisions.

Kitchen, then. [And, sounding vaguely Disneyish:] I wanna be where the hot dogs are... and so on. And if that's going to be a more time-consuming area to comb through, better to make sure it's got more coverage.

[Congrats, she's trying not to laugh. That was adorable.] The foyer just needs to be checked since Roland is worried about someone using the chandelier to kill someone. He might be up for helping with the kitchen, too.

Yup. But I trust him, so maybe it's worth keeping in mind.

...Yeah, Roland's got his shit together. If he's worried about it, I guess it won't kill one of us to keep watch on that with him. Guess I could? It's just the chandelier, right?

Yup. I don't think I'm going into the foyer much. Those things have always bothered me, even before the Phantom.

Foyers or chandeliers?

Chandeliers. I know the physics behind them, but that doesn't make them any less terrifying.

Uh, knowing the physics behind things rarely makes them less terrifying.

True... but I still love physics.

I thought you were more into biology.

Oh, I love love biology, but physics? Just as important. After all, it explains the how of all of our physical actions. Just not always the why. What's not to love?

Hey, I'm not arguing. You more into the practical side or pure theory?

I love both. Yet it also depends on the situation. Theory can be a lot of fun, but it's very, very satisfying to put it into practice and it coming out just like you thought it would or better.

Heh. That does sound fun. Kind of like solving a puzzle, huh? Like, 'Aha, it's lining up just like I thought.'

Puzzles are a passion of mine. Except Rubik's cubes. Hate those damn things. I just peel the stickers off and make it match that way.

That's one way to game the system, I guess. Rubik's cubes aren't that hard, though, when you know the tricks.

I guess to me a Rubik's cube is like a nonogram. I can't visualize what I need in order to solve it.

Nono--oh, Picross? I used to have a lot of fun with those types of puzzles as a kid... Well, when adults could get me to sit down long enough for one, anyway.

Give me sudoku any day. I love those puzzles the most.

Ah... uh... I guess I'll leave those to you. They're not really my thing.

Eh. They're not for everyone. I love numbers, so those are perfect for me.

I... prefer the Sunday crosswords, I guess.

Ugh, yeah, I'm awful at those. Give me numbers, you can have everything doing with words.
