Week 1

[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.

Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.

[After that unfortunate way of meeting everyone was over, yeah, Nari is exploring. Mostly the kitchen, where she's rifling through all the drawers and cabinets to see what's in them. While she's here, she may as well make some pancakes. Because pancakes are great. If anyone wants any, there's a decent size stack slowly forming as she keeps cooking away. Sorry, no bacon for this breakfast.

Later one, this girl will be found in the new favorite place. The garden. The first thing she does it stick her hands in the dirt to feel if it needs water or not, or maybe to see if it's healthy enough to have worms in it. Why worms? Because they are important. Otherwise Nari is going to be taking stock of all the gardening supplies they have in there just in case she decides to go full hog and make this her goal in life here.]

So many things to stab people with in here...

Uh.

[Nari, c'mon, he thought you were cool. You made pancakes and everything! Church will just be over here...leaning away a little.]

Maybe vent your frustrations in ways that don't involve that murder rule. Personally, I like keeping all my blood on the inside of my body. For future reference.

[ Clarith takes time in her room at first, hiding out to just. Rest and not be so upset by everything. After that, though, she'll explore a bit. She can be found in the garden. She seems to be familiarizing herself with everything. It's different from the trauben fields, really.

Later on, she can be found in the kitchen. There, she begins to pull out the ingredients for stew. She cuts up the meat and veggies, and then tosses them all into a pot with a bit of flower and what looks to be some kind of stock. ...But then comes the hard part. She doesn't know how to use these contraptions. They're all modern. So there is a very, very long moment of being confused before she tries to look for... Any instruction as to how to use anything. ]

[This was all a lot to process, even for him. Wherever Lucis and even Eos were relative to here, astrals only knew. Insomnia would surely know something was wrong when he failed to return by tomorrow at the latest, and then what? Hopefully, Izunia could keep things together in the crown city, even without the ring...]

[Ardyn Izunia, Champion of the Infernian. He felt a nameless sense of dread as he looked through the profiles again, one that matched the faint but distinct chill he'd felt since getting out of that limousine. In fact, he was beginning to realize he felt off in general; he'd practically taken out the Armiger just to get some answers, that kind of angered reaction wasn't like him.]

[Surely it meant nothing. This was a situation he'd never been confronted with before; it stood to reason he would be tense. What mattered right now wasn't some nonsensical information--it was finding that ring. The lunatic had made some reference to it being 'in storage', so maybe that was a start.]

[The very picture of calm composure despite everything this situation had become, Ardyn walked out of room seven and started off down the hall.]

[He probably wouldn't be back that night. Strange as it was, he didn't feel the least bit tired.]

[A cursory examination of the floor had yielded two suspicious doors he'd noted for later, but the first place he actually stopped in for a notable length of time was the garden.]

[For whatever reason, he seemed pretty interested in the collection of plants; almost as though he hadn't seen most of them before in his life. On occasion he'd glance up to the starscape and then at the artificial sunlight--it didn't seem like he was necessarily unfamiliar with the concept of lightbulbs of all things, but something about the room just wasn't quite sitting right with him.]

[So you know those locked double doors by the patio?]

[Guess who's trying very hard to open it with no apparent success.]

Hey, I never said I was the one going to do the stabbing.

[They have a pool she can swim laps in to do the whole venting thing. Nari would never take it out on a person unless they really, really pissed her off or attacked.]

But we definitely need to keep an inventory list in case any of this goes missing so we know what to look for.

You think...wait, you think people are really gonna just up and start murdering people when we're living in a reality tv show paradise? I mean, sure, there are gonna be assholes in the group, and maybe you'll want them dead, but it's just tv, man. Only crazy people take garden sheers to someone because they disagree with someone's shipping preferences or whatever.

It's quite the impressive arrangement, is it not?

[Ardyn seemed to be doing about the same as Clarith; at the very least, it looked like he wasn't too familiar with most of the plantlife.]

[ Rhys is mostly just looking around the place right now. Honestly he's... really impressed by all this nature. Wow. So green. So full of life. So naturey. He's literally never seen so much, and he's curious more than anyth--]

Please don't stab me.

[ Nice. ]

I-It's not at all like the village I worked in.

[ She's a bit nervous. Ardyn, unfortunately, reminds her of a few too many of the village men who were unkind to her in looks. So she's, of course, cynical.

We only g-grew trauben.

I've been around enough people in my life to know that at any one moment someone can snap. They could be the nicest person in the world, and tomorrow they are making headlines that they stabbed their spouse to death with a spoon. Even with reality TV you run the risk of someone going off of their rocker and causing physical harm to someone else.

[In short? Everyone is capable of murder.]

I might love people. I might love being alive. But I am not naive enough not to know that we all run the risk of death in this place now that it's been introduced as a way to get out.

[.... oh my fucking god. OH MY FUCKING GOD]

[Nari hears something going on before she even finds out what's going on.

Cue her staring.]

Dude. What are you doing?

...Y'know, that's pessimistic as fuck, but I dig it? I mean I don't plan on murdering anyone to get out of here, because I'm not a crazy person, but that's not a bad way of looking at things. And, fuck, knowing my luck, I'll probably get killed in some stupid, easily preventable way, and then you can tell my ghost 'I told you so'.

[So on Monday, Junpei did a cursory check of the floor and poked at exits that ended up not being exits, but mostly focused on talking to any fellow captives he hadn't met outside yet. Gotta know your fellow players, right?

Today he's investigating more thoroughly, starting with the tattoo parlor. It seems he's more interested in the drawers and cabinets than in the tattoo equipment itself. What could he be looking for?

The afternoon finds him at the pool, swimsuit-clad but not jumping in yet, just staring at the water with his arms crossed.]

[She seemed nervous, he noted. Maybe that was due to how the damned profiles made him sound like some kind of lunatic tyrant. Ardyn smiled to try and set her a little more at ease, speaking in a light tone.]

I find myself unfamiliar with that one--Lucis is still lacking in plantlife, I'm afraid.

[Mai can be found in the kitchen, inspecting the food. They do, in fact, have fancy tuna. She's standing in front of the refrigerator, staring.

Later, she'll be in the foyer, poking at the doors. Something must open these.]

[Church. Church, you are alright in her book.]

If you turn into a ghost, can I name you Blinky and then say 'I told you so'?
