[After a hopefully restful night in the luxurious quarters of their suite, the hotel is abuzz with activity once again bright and early.

The Doctor and his group (Thomasin, Yurika, and Togami) found a lead that InterGal7 has a booth in the Dealer's hall, while Xander and his group (Jamie, Jane, and Natsuhi) have a lead to follow about a panel.

In scanning through the schedules and the TV advertisements, it becomes clear that while there are two separate "paths" to the scavenger hunt, in order to maximize the chances of winning both must be completed. The deadline is in the evening. It'll make the group as a whole a lot less conspicuous to split up, plus to maximize the chances of getting both paths completed.

[High five! His hand feels too warm to be human, and a little buzzy.]

Just in a minute, let me get up to the stage.

[And off he goes, in fact, him and the blonde human-looking woman from before.]

HELLO, everyone! Let's get started with the contest, shall we? Everyone who's participating, come and line up on stage for the judging! Remember, no hard-light projectors, and no skits!

[He's glad he dressed somewhat nice in his vest and boots- no gloves though, eh hasn't been able to stand them ever since they awoke. Still, hopefully that will be enough.

No skits...? Oh god do they normally do plays during these things? He is learning a lot today! Oh well, let's do this]

As it turns out, Xander actually does have solid competition here. Not all of the aliens are completely non-human, and some pass perfectly well even without the use of hard-light. Pirate Xander and his friend are the judges, it appears, and they walk up and down the line that forms, and then go off by themselves to deliberate.

Next to Xander, a Thomasin smiles up at him.]

Prithee, 'tis a fabulous costume thou dost wearest! [just add -est to everything that's how it works right]

[He bites his lip to resist the urge to chuckle. Thank god for years of training up a stoneface- especially since he's not used to being stared at over something like this. It's enough to make him feel a bit nervous.

Bunnies Xander, just think of them all as bunnies]

[And she quiets down quick, because the judges are returning. They start by announcing third place...someone dressed up as Jane!

Second: it's you, Xander! Pirate Xander comes to give you a congratulations, a ribbon, and a little printed card.

And first place goes to......apparently, a superior Xander! You guys might want to trade up, because this other person is nailing it!]

He busts out laughing I'm so sorry. He'll be a good sport about it though and congratulate better Xander.

He's probs from Conquest route or something.

Once he's calmed down from this burst of ridiculousness he'll read the card]

Incidentally, it seems that the contest winners aren't the only people receiving these cards; they're now being handed out to all contestants. Your main advantage was maybe just getting yours several minutes earlier.]

[Time to take advantage- he gestures to Jane, Natsuhi and Jamie as he jogs by with his card.

Once they are away from the crowd he reads it for them]

"This is the last clue, well done to you, now go and find the water blue

Blue water, a tower and a green pane...? Outside somewhere then?

If it's blue water, and we're at a hotel...it'd have to be a pool, I think. Either for swimming or for show. Where's the map?

...What about a fountain, in a park or garden?

[She doesn't want to go to a pool. There'll be more horrors there.]
