[After a hopefully restful night in the luxurious quarters of their suite, the hotel is abuzz with activity once again bright and early.

The Doctor and his group (Thomasin, Yurika, and Togami) found a lead that InterGal7 has a booth in the Dealer's hall, while Xander and his group (Jamie, Jane, and Natsuhi) have a lead to follow about a panel.

In scanning through the schedules and the TV advertisements, it becomes clear that while there are two separate "paths" to the scavenger hunt, in order to maximize the chances of winning both must be completed. The deadline is in the evening. It'll make the group as a whole a lot less conspicuous to split up, plus to maximize the chances of getting both paths completed.

[He scowls, his excitement dying as fast as it formed. Still, he walks right up to order, getting the special]

[are you kidding Bolton would be fucking delighted right now.

When he orders, though, the tiny alien lights up at the sound of his voice.]

You sound just like Xander! Did you actually get voice training for your costume? That's major dedication!

[She writes something in alien on his paper cup and passes it down the line.]

[The line is loud and cheerful, and after a moment (and the drinks before him), "Temerity" looks at the cup and then calls out:]

Uh, "Xander?"

Ah, yes.

[he realizes he should have likely used a fake name, but he was a bit too shocked by the display- though he's sure the staff have served like, a dozen Xanders today]

[Her eyes sparkle.]

Wow, you're the best one I've seen today! Sorry, I know you've got places to be, but... Can I get a selfie with you? Just real quick, I promise.

[kingshaming]

[He blushes a little. Oh... oh he shouldn't. But she looks so happy, and he is weak to a woman's happiness. Thankfully he knows what a selfie is now thanks to the SPACE INTERNET]

[Luckily she's actually quite tall (at least as tall as he is, not counting her horns), so she can just pull out her tablet and lean over the hand-off plane, one hand bracing herself on the counter and the other holding up the camera.]

Once they're done he says softly so only she can hear:]

You wouldn't happen to know about the Captain's Special, would you?

[She points to a string of alien on his cup.]

I wish I could join in on the scavenger hunt. It broke my hearts when I realized it was going down on the one day I work this weekend!

[She gets a smile as Natsuhi tugs on his arm]

...Why does it call you "Captain"? Do we...[She takes a closer look at the words. Are they written or printed on the cup, like how a logo might be printed but a name would be written?]
