[After a hopefully restful night in the luxurious quarters of their suite, the hotel is abuzz with activity once again bright and early.

The Doctor and his group (Thomasin, Yurika, and Togami) found a lead that InterGal7 has a booth in the Dealer's hall, while Xander and his group (Jamie, Jane, and Natsuhi) have a lead to follow about a panel.

In scanning through the schedules and the TV advertisements, it becomes clear that while there are two separate "paths" to the scavenger hunt, in order to maximize the chances of winning both must be completed. The deadline is in the evening. It'll make the group as a whole a lot less conspicuous to split up, plus to maximize the chances of getting both paths completed.

Xander is kinda too big to hide exactly. But he does curse to himself just loud enough to be heard and mumbles about someone having his roomkey- he can't hide, but he can fake being a very annoyed adult that doesn't want to be here pretty well, looking around 'for' someone]

[These particular aliens are apparently teenage girls by the standards of their species, so the one with the map blocks it from view.

However, given that the other one goes "Ohhhhh!" and they scamper off, maybe it's not a total loss to check the map yourself]

[Boy the cafe is poppin. The poor staff. Though there are definitely several who have had the same idea to get into the spirit - black embroidered aprons, a rainbow of shirts including a couple purple ones that may uncomfortably match the shirt a certain barista was wearing the last time you saw him Xander, and dark-rimmed glasses abound. Only a couple of the aprons have a name embroidered on them, and there's a tall, horned alien at the handoff plane who's apparently embraced her lack of a physical match to the late barista and chosen to don a nametag reading "Temerity" instead.

But they have a whole menu set up with convention specials, including the "Airlocked-te" which is apparently a cherry white mocha.]

When he orders, though, the tiny alien lights up at the sound of his voice.]

You sound just like Xander! Did you actually get voice training for your costume? That's major dedication!

[She writes something in alien on his paper cup and passes it down the line.]

You're awesome! Have a great day! Next!

[The line is loud and cheerful, and after a moment (and the drinks before him), "Temerity" looks at the cup and then calls out:]

Uh, "Xander?"

[he realizes he should have likely used a fake name, but he was a bit too shocked by the display- though he's sure the staff have served like, a dozen Xanders today]

Wow, you're the best one I've seen today! Sorry, I know you've got places to be, but... Can I get a selfie with you? Just real quick, I promise.

[He blushes a little. Oh... oh he shouldn't. But she looks so happy, and he is weak to a woman's happiness. Thankfully he knows what a selfie is now thanks to the SPACE INTERNET]

I suppose it can't hurt...

[Luckily she's actually quite tall (at least as tall as he is, not counting her horns), so she can just pull out her tablet and lean over the hand-off plane, one hand bracing herself on the counter and the other holding up the camera.]

[Pushing through the mess to tug at his sleeve. And be every bit as annoying as she can.]

Did you get it? The others are waiting.

Once they're done he says softly so only she can hear:]

You wouldn't happen to know about the Captain's Special, would you?
