I would say he was... complicated. At one point, he was a good man, just trying to do the right thing. But then bad things happened. And one by one, it just got worse for him, until he was tricked, just like the rest of us.

I never... had a lot of friends before. And I never got to meet the person that would have been my sibling. But I always envied people that had those kinds of people in their lives. Who got to do things together and give them presents... those kinds of meaningful things... I only dreamed about before. Now I think... it's really okay to accept this.

[This weird connection of friends and family and loved ones that's complicated but also really pure and heartfelt.]

You, Max, Noctis... and Varric and Will too... you guys are my real family. I don't know if I could have said it back then but... I felt that way even then. Other people are better at saying what they mean but-- I wanted to say it at least once. I'm... really proud to have someone as incredible as you as a sister.

It matches the pendant Lightning, a woman from my group whom I was close to, received. The first pendant was an engagement necklace given to her sister by her lover. I remember now that I wore it after Lightning's death, to remember her by.

But the changes to it... they are very much one's I would have added.
