You've done your best with the star charts, but if anyone is coming to help you, there is no sign of it yet. SIS remains the only friendly face here, even as you've found that she holds her own secrets. Meanwhile, yet another new floor has opened up - the elevators are in perfect working order now, if any of you care to go and see it. That's four concourses now; one for each of your groups. There's an awful lot of dead, aren't there?]

It matches the pendant Lightning, a woman from my group whom I was close to, received. The first pendant was an engagement necklace given to her sister by her lover. I remember now that I wore it after Lightning's death, to remember her by.

But the changes to it... they are very much one's I would have added.

[ It really is. Intricate, delicate-looking, but Noctis knows that if Xander's giving it to someone, it's made of stronger stuff. ]

... So it's an engagement pendant, huh.

I can't say for sure, as I don't remember having it made- and I had to have had it made custom, it's too specific to not be- but... I don't know what else it COULD be.

It's probably still something you haven't remembered yet. [ He grins at Xander. ] So when we get out of here and rescue them, are you gonna propose?

Gods I'm not sure. We certainly didn't have time for a proper courtship. A few weeks is such a short amount of time, and I wouldn't want to do anything on impulse...

Then wait a while to propose to her. Question is, are you gonna go with her, or is she gonna go with you?

Ah... that is... a question. I can not easily go home, and if I could explain away my death then I would be made king. I could not put the pressures of a broken kingdom on her feet... and I certainly don't deserve the honor anymore.

But her world has complications as well. I will not go into details since I don't fully understand it. But it was being reborn, with her as it's steward. Even if I go to her world, we might not be able to be together, and she would not abandon it- I would not ask her too.

...well, I in a way did, but I know it's a pointless fantasy.
