[The Champions have had their first deliberate murders this week, and just like that, Prompto and Lunafreya are gone. Slaine followed them shortly after, however most people may feel about that.

This time, C.E.C.E.'s addition to the morning announcement probably doesn't come as much of a surprise:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your second trial, you have unlocked the third floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[In addition to the new floor, the Champions will find that they've gained another memory this week.]

[akira makes a small surprised noise before holding up his PIP to unlock it]

I get that. But sometimes you gotta have backup. Everybody needs someone to help sometimes.

[Let's get in here and sit you down on the bed. Max looks frozen for a brief moment, remembering this exact same thing happening last week, but...he's okay. He's okay.]

["backup" makes him smile weakly, though his eyes stay watery]

Before my team I wasn't used to leaning on people, you know? I LIKED people just fine. Had people I got along with. But not... not people who I could tell important stuff.

You know, after the last two weekends it'd be stupid to get close to anyone else.

[his tone suggests he doesn't believe that though]

[Hm. Max walks Akira over to the bed, then sits down next to him. This is...too familiar, and he knots his hands uneasily in his lap.]

I dunno, maybe technically? But that's no way to live.

Yeah...

[he sighs, pinching his nose]

All the friendship speeches and group activities don't make any real difference. I'm not giving up, but... fuck. Just fuck.

...yeah. That about sums it up.

But I don't think they're not making any difference, you know? Maybe they haven't...saved everything yet. [Or anyone.] But I think it's...better than just getting all paranoid and turning on each other in here.

Bolton and Jamie have been really championing that kinda thing.

Yeah, they really have. It’s fun, you know, having group stuff to look forward to.

[Even if the group keeps getting smaller.]

Maybe I should help them more with that kinda thing.

I bet they’d appreciate it! Jay, anyway, I dunno how much anyone else could help with DM stuff. Maybe we could put together snacks or something for it.

I think everyone would get sick of curry every week. Think I should learn a few others group meals?
