[The Champions have had their first deliberate murders this week, and just like that, Prompto and Lunafreya are gone. Slaine followed them shortly after, however most people may feel about that.

This time, C.E.C.E.'s addition to the morning announcement probably doesn't come as much of a surprise:]

Congratulations, Champions! By surviving your second trial, you have unlocked the third floor of the ship. A new mini map has been added to your P.I.P.! To access the second floor please stand on the teleporter and select the floor you wish to be teleported to.

[In addition to the new floor, the Champions will find that they've gained another memory this week.]

Just plain champion artist, they would truly have to be a talented genius, skilled in many artforms. You get more diversity in being specific. But still, you'd think they would have felt they were overrepresenting a certain market.

Yeah, that's more what I meant. Even if they wanted to specify the type of art, having like...a Champion Portrait Artist and a Champion Bodybuilder or something would be more varied. Jamie and I are...I think we're pretty similar. Not that all artists have the same personality, but you know.

Guess variety might not be what they're after.

That's fun. But I mean, you're not wrong. Unless Jay's hiding some ninja skills.

It would be unwise to underestimate anyone. [like...manaka...] When we're out of here and have this lot in custody, we can do as much interrogation as we please.

So then what does really matter? To you.

A lack of murder would be nice. Seems like all we can do to just get through each day - Sunday, Tuesday...always some shit going on.

Sunday, memories and the emotional aftermath of loss. Tuesday, the temptation. It's sickening. There are kinder methods to execute someone than to send them into the vacuum of space.

I mean, since when do people get executed for manslaughter anyway.

[Not that Slaine was that. But you know.]

Apparently when they're in this game and the people who run it don't care to be very careful in how they word their rules and stipulations.

It's not like they have to. It's not a contract - they probably just wanted it to sound snappy instead of going into all the different technicalities.

It makes some of the rules unclear. Which might also be intentional. Someone stumbles too far in bending a rule, they get punished because they decided it was broken.

Yeah. They're gonna do what they want - it doesn't really matter how we wanna parse any of it.
