[The Champions have now been here for one week, and while the dud of a first incentive didn't tempt anybody, the fact remains obvious: a lack of murder isn't going to be the thing that gets you out of here.

Blaze Dudely and Rox have not made a reappearance since Tuesday, leaving you to your own devices for the moment. That door they entered and exited through remains locked, and there is no new area to access this week. Are you sure they're even still back there? Despite their absence, you all wake up on Sunday morning from strange dreams. What to make of it?

Yeah, I'm fine. [He's still frowning, but it's more wary and thoughtful than scared. Everyone knows what scared Prompto looks like by now.] Just thought someone got an MT or something out of the dumbwaiters. Now that would be a nightmare.

[He shakes his head and finally takes his eyes off Ruri, meets Miki's gaze, then remembers what she asked and looks down at the photo.]

Right, you were asking if this was from home. [He stays quiet for a while, then passes it over to her.] Well, a picture's worth a thousand words, right?

[What's wrong with this picture?]

[stillstands]

You still haven't explained what an... MT? is, you know. Some kind of robot...?

[Miki carefully takes the photo from his hands and looks at it. Then she looks up at Prompto, and back down at the picture.]

... Is this really you? [Then she realises that sounds dumb.] Well, no. It's you, I know that but... you look older.

Yeah, they're evil robot soldiers with no souls.

[He is much more concerned with the picture than with explaining why he has any experience at all with evil robot soldiers, let alone enough to speak so casually about them. He taps the photo, disturbed.]

Okay, so it isn't just me. Or, I mean, it is, but--you know what I mean. I don't understand where the hell this photo came from, I've never had-- [Or been able to grow.] --facial hair, and I look... at least, I don't know, five years older. I have so many bags under my eyes! What happened to me?

[stillstands]

... OH OKAY THEY'RE MOVING ON ALREADY ARE THEY??]

Poor sleep pattern? But that doesn't explain the changes in your face... you look older, physically so in the structure. That doesn't just happened with poor sleep cycles...

Did they edit the photo somehow, to confuse you?

If they did, it worked, because I'm really confused.

[You hear that, Benefactors? IT'S WORKING. NOW PLEASE TELL HIM WHAT'S HAPPENING.]

Maybe it'd help if I could place the photo, but I totally can't. I take a lot of selfies, and there's no, like, identifying landmarks that I can make out.

[stillstands]

[Benefactors say no.]

It looks really dark in the background. If it was taken at night that's probably why you can't see any notable landmarks or indicators where the picture was taken...

[It's... definitely Prompto, in the picture. But why does he look so different?]

You've... never tried growing a beard before? Not even for a brief time where this picture could have been taken?

More like I couldn't grow a beard even if I wanted to.

[He is cursed with babyface, Miki. Cursed.]

Gladio's the only one of us with facial hair. Iggy could, I guess, but he's really diligent about shaving...

[stillstands]

But beards make you look older, don't they?

People are always saying that keeping your youth is important, along with that old "you'll be glad when you're older' thing.

I wouldn't mind looking a little older. Like, I'm twenty, I'm over constantly getting mistaken for a high-schooler. Uh, no offense.

[You poor pubescent saps.]

But I still can't really get enough hair to grow to make it worthwhile, so... I mean, I guess it's harder when you're blond.

[stillstands]

I wouldn't know.

[Said A LITTLE drily...]

I'm not sure I really get the obsession with guys and beards...? When you seen pictures in magazines they look neat and trimmed but that's not always the case in real life. They can look a bit messy.

Mmm, Gladio's pretty good about maintaining his, but the rugged look also just, you know, works for him.

[Gladio is just a mountain given human form.]

Noct would probably look really stupid with a beard. And I can't even imagine Iggy with one.

[stillstands]

[He did look very tol.]

You never know until they try it. Sometimes people you think wouldn't suit a beard, do.

[Prompto makes a show of considering this, then wrinkles his nose and makes a profoundly skeptical face.]

Noct would just look like a homeless beach bum.

[stillstands]

[It take a moment, but Miki does raise her hand to hide a giggle.]

Really? Isn't he supposed to be the serious and formal ruler...?

[Who naps a lot, apparently.]

He's supposed to be, but I know the truth. Our king, the great and powerful Noctis, is a grouchy, bed-headed comic book nerd.

[stillstands]

Maybe that's a good thing. It's easier to relate to someone, and trust them if you know they have a human side. Royalty or not.

Yeah. The human side's definitely his best side, anyway. Even Iggy and Gladio know that.

[stillstands]

I think that'd go without saying. Everyone's real side is better than any front they have to put up.

Mm, I mean, it's not like his regal side isn't his real self, too. It's just.

[Hmmm.]

He has a lot more fun when he doesn't have to be king. You know? I think that's an important point to deciding someone's best features.

[stillstands]

If you're someone important in society, you must have to put on a bit of a mask. When a person takes it off and you get to see who they really are, it must be special.
