Week 2
[The Champions have now been here for one week, and while the dud of a first incentive didn't tempt anybody, the fact remains obvious: a lack of murder isn't going to be the thing that gets you out of here.
Blaze Dudely and Rox have not made a reappearance since Tuesday, leaving you to your own devices for the moment. That door they entered and exited through remains locked, and there is no new area to access this week. Are you sure they're even still back there? Despite their absence, you all wake up on Sunday morning from strange dreams. What to make of it?
You can only hope it's not a bad omen for the rest of the week.]
(( Don't forget to turn in your AC for Week 1, submit your memory regain, and turn in your Benefactor threads! ))

[There's suddenly a rush of relief that comes over Lucina, her posture easing, her face brightening just a bit. She'd been very, very concerned to find that in her things today, so to know that it couldn't actually hurt anyone...
It takes her a moment to snap out of that reverie, though, at Prompto's question.]
- Oh! Um, this is - it's jerkey. Made from bears. I would know that smell anywhere...!
[She is now unwrapping the package and looking at the contents like a kid on Christmas who just tore open a Nintendo 64...though there's a distinct smell of old boots coming from the meat.]
We always had this at home, when I was small - my father loves bear...

Prompto wasn't sure anyone would find it in them to smile again, with Chloe's outrage and blood still fresh, with their most important people still hanging over their heads, with murder in cold blood on the table--but Lucina's genuinely delighted by a snack that smells like boots, and he thinks maybe... maybe it's okay to hope, if it's for small things, right now.]
Then it's yours.
[Not like he wants to eat boot leather.]
I mean, it probably is, anyway, if it means that much to you. I know it's not something they put in special for me. We don't even have bears on Eos.

Then, the gun is yours. Even if it doesn't work as it should...I feel safer, knowing it's in your hands. You won't use it to hurt anyone.

[The words stick in his throat. He bites his lip briefly, then breathes out and pushes through.]
...After what happened, I won't even keep this where anyone can see it. There's, like, a treasure chest in my room, I'll use that.

[Just. Going to come over and put a hand on your shoulder, squeezing gently. She knows. Death isn't easy to face. But it's a little thing like that that makes her trust in you true and not misplaced.]
Thank you, Prompto. [A pause.] We...we will do right by her, I think. We'll find some way to make sure what's happened wasn't in vain.

[Just like after Insomnia or Altissia--no.
Just like after King Regis. Just like after Lady Lunafreya. If they stop, it's meaningless.
He reaches up and holds her hand there, swallowing and taking strength from her presence.]
We'll get out of here. And we won't let anything hurt the people she loved. Not ever again.
