Week 2
[The Champions have now been here for one week, and while the dud of a first incentive didn't tempt anybody, the fact remains obvious: a lack of murder isn't going to be the thing that gets you out of here.
Blaze Dudely and Rox have not made a reappearance since Tuesday, leaving you to your own devices for the moment. That door they entered and exited through remains locked, and there is no new area to access this week. Are you sure they're even still back there? Despite their absence, you all wake up on Sunday morning from strange dreams. What to make of it?
You can only hope it's not a bad omen for the rest of the week.]
(( Don't forget to turn in your AC for Week 1, submit your memory regain, and turn in your Benefactor threads! ))

Yeah... but do ya really think they aren't above twisting the rules 'bout that?
[Zombina's getting the idea that assuming the worst about their overseers is probably the smart thing to do here.]

The nature of this game. [And it is a game, whether it's a VR video game, or a game to the Overseers, or a game show as Thomas said.] You can't have a game without a firmly defined ruleset. They can change the rules at any time, but they still need to be followed, or it falls apart. To be ignorant of the rules is one thing, but to not know them, or the extent of them, is not the fault of the player.
Which means none of this was designed to be fair. We're meant to lose, one way or another. Losing means death.
So what do they gain from our deaths?

[She'd rather they get better kinks than this though.]
Think there's an way ta, I dunno, force an draw? Or is this not designed ta be that kinda game?

A gun. How utterly crass. I think this is still a test-run in some ways. They weren't ready for us. For her. They started with something mild and ramped it up.
They're figuring it out as they go. Possibly.

[Zombina looks over at... Chloe.]
Yeah. I mean... at least she got an shot in, I guess.

If the rest of us want any chance to survive, we have to be better, faster, stronger, smarter. Not flailing about without a plan.

[Zombina really can't deny anything he said.]
Yeah. I can't deny any of watcha said. Planning is something we gotta start doin'.
[Zombina glances over at everyone around them.]
I think an meetin' ta discuss the motive is probably in order... maybe not Wednesday, but at least by Thursday. They brought out a strong motive this time, after the total flop Spagas was. This... this is an motive that actually has an fucking chance of someone going for it!
[Zombina sighs and massages her forehead.]
So how does gathering everyone into the cafeteria or an conference room ta talk all this over and try and convince 'em that this motive is a crock of bullshit sound?

He lowers the knife to his side.] But I'm not going to kill you for this. Not you, not any of the rest of us on the list.
There has to be another way. There is. another. way.
no subject
[Zombina says it casually, but there is steel in her voice. She's considering this to be an promise.]
Same. I know my teammates can handle themselves and even all the others are more durable than ya'd think. Plus, if Mokuba-kun is anything like ya, I'm sure he'll be fine. This is just an scare tactic.
[Zombina gives an toothy grin.]
There will be another way, and If there isn't then we're just gonna hafta make one. Preferably causing as much collateral damage ta them in the process.
[Or at least take them down with 'em.]
no subject
And...even so, when would this have been taken? They haven't been home in several days, jetsetting around to I2, trying to find clues about Critias, nearly dying in that damn plane, and surely they'll have to be working even harder to get back their company. Could it be more memories are missing? Or could it be that they've used the uploaded memories of each and every one of them to construct a realistic scene? Both? Something else?
He is nothing if he's not in control. So he has to take Zombina's confidence and attempt to let it soothe the fire.]
It's what she would have wanted. From what I could tell.

[Sharkbitch-chan might even get what she wants this time around.]
