Week 2
[The Champions have now been here for one week, and while the dud of a first incentive didn't tempt anybody, the fact remains obvious: a lack of murder isn't going to be the thing that gets you out of here.
Blaze Dudely and Rox have not made a reappearance since Tuesday, leaving you to your own devices for the moment. That door they entered and exited through remains locked, and there is no new area to access this week. Are you sure they're even still back there? Despite their absence, you all wake up on Sunday morning from strange dreams. What to make of it?
You can only hope it's not a bad omen for the rest of the week.]
(( Don't forget to turn in your AC for Week 1, submit your memory regain, and turn in your Benefactor threads! ))

[He's already putting the cards down on one of the game tables anyway and adjusting his makeshift wristbands. The Prompto equivalent of rolling up nonexistent sleeves.]
I'm a gunner, I have pretty good eyes.
[A gunner and not a photographer. Not after yesterday.]
no subject
Maybe we shouldn't talk about guns, though, after yesterday.]
I won't say no to assistance. I admit I'm not looking for anything in particular, just seeing if I can find anything at all. Something out of place? Something to give us an advantage. Even if it's just a spot in a corner out of view of the cameras, it's something.

Sometimes.
[But anyway. Cameras. Prompto knows cameras. He scans the ceiling for the cameras in this room, then takes one of the chairs to hop up and examine it from closer up.]
From 'Kira's map, I'm not sure this room in particular's gonna be much good. For blind spots, I mean. But...
[He pauses, then glances back at the games. Hmmm.]
no subject
[Finally he stands up straight enough from his search, giving Prompto a look. And then sees that look, glances around himself.] What do you think it--
[The sentence dies in his mouth, because his eyes finally pass over the table with the cards that he'd recognize anywhere. Quest momentarily left by the wayside, he makes his way downtown walking fast walking faster and snatches up the deck, immediately thumbing through the cards.] Where...?
no subject
[You know. Hence his ensemble, which wouldn't look all that out of place in a Duel Monsters street match, honestly.]
I couldn't figure out how to play them just from looking, so I wanted to see if there was any kind of game manual in here. Like, attack points I get, but the rest?
no subject
[Or...is it? Many of the cards seem familiar, but some of them...do not. New dragon releases he hasn't even heard of yet? Impossible. But he doesn't stop fanning through the cards until he finds one of his Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards.
He stares at it as if he doesn't even expect it from his own deck (while filing away the idea of a digital deck, no need for physical cards, what if--). Why is this bullshit randomized? Why don't they get their own things back? What else might someone have?
And why isn't this the version of his deck he remembers?
He doesn't have a duel disk to slot it into, or even a holster for his cards, so for now, he sets the deck back on the table.]
...I don't suppose any other decks showed up. [Because if Yuugi's shows up he might throw another chair.]
no subject
If they did, they didn't turn up with the stuff I got. You could ask around.
[Did you put Yuugi's deck in the Hold, Shawna? Do you want someone to d-d-d-d-duel Kaiba?]
Is it, like... a dragon game? Like the thing Bolton and Max like to do? But not everything was dragons, so I guess not.
no subject
Dragons are the theme of my deck. This particular dragon, as opposed to a deck themed on, for example, the Red-Eyes Black Dragon. There are various types of monsters, and while a deck doesn't necessarily need to have a theme, the cards have to work towards a particular strategy or variation thereof.
...I'm going to have to sort through this. Maybe it's connected to how we don't seem to remember everything, but there are cards in here I don't know. But I'm sure it's my deck. The core of it is always the same.
no subject
Whoa. ...That sounds crazy complicated. Like, it seemed simple with just the points for attack and defense, but I guess there's more to... it...
['Maybe it's connected to how we don't seem to remember everything.'
Prompto pauses, then plucks at the edge of one of his new wristbands.]
...Can I show you something, dude?

[He takes a photo out of his back pocket and hands it over.]
What do you think?
no subject
...About what? The composition, lighting, angle, your hair, the outfit, that ridiculous expression and pose?
no subject
[HIS SELFIE FACE IS FINE, YOU JERK!]
no subject
...Is that outdoors? [CUZ IT'S HARD TO TELL MY DUDE] In the nighttime? If so,
where the hell is that light source COMING fromwhere are the stars?no subject

We know we're missing memories. Ages in our profiles seem to reflect a later time point for some, for example. Nobody that I'm aware of has suggested that they look different. So it's possible that we came here with memories to a certain point, and thus, our manifestations of our physical selves are from what we recall ourselves as.
...But you're suggesting something more like time travel?

You look happy, though.

[He pauses, then squints suddenly and turns the picture diagonally.]
...Is that Insomnia?
[Ifrit's great balls of fire, he couldn't make it out before, but those are buildings in the back, and in the foreground, that's a lamppost or something. He squints harder.]
Are those daemons?
no subject
This is something significant to you?
no subject
[Boo hiss, future Prompto, why couldn't you take this selfie in front of the Citadel?]
Insomnia's my hometown. I... I haven't been back there since it fell. We were traveling north to Gralea, we wouldn't have just--we couldn't turn back. Not without the Crystal.
