Week 2
[The Champions have now been here for one week, and while the dud of a first incentive didn't tempt anybody, the fact remains obvious: a lack of murder isn't going to be the thing that gets you out of here.
Blaze Dudely and Rox have not made a reappearance since Tuesday, leaving you to your own devices for the moment. That door they entered and exited through remains locked, and there is no new area to access this week. Are you sure they're even still back there? Despite their absence, you all wake up on Sunday morning from strange dreams. What to make of it?
You can only hope it's not a bad omen for the rest of the week.]
(( Don't forget to turn in your AC for Week 1, submit your memory regain, and turn in your Benefactor threads! ))

[After the nighttime announcement, she cautiously emerges and halfheartedly patrols the halls, occasionally stopping and lingering over the spot where Chloe fell.]
nighttime
[ said quietly. She's a night owl at heart, so even after today, she's still too antsy sitting in her room alone. ]
You always marchin' at stupid o'clock?
no subject
[Antsy implies a lot more energy than she has right now.]
Yes. I'm not- I can't sleep. This is better than- ...yes.

[ She's a people-person, anyway. Moping helps for maybe an hour or two. ]

[She's not actually sure she wants company right now, but she is also a people person.]
[Plus, this is one person she knows for sure is safe.]
That was- ...I've never seen someone die before.

[ she remembers Reimu killing that guy from the Human Village for upsetting the balance and turning himself into a youkai, but that was...well, she doesn't want to say "justified" considering her own ambitions, but it was what it was. She had a reason to do it. Before the spellcard system came about, she left enough people for dead on her adventures, but did they actually die? She doesn't remember.
Funny. Death never left this bad of a taste in her mouth before. ]
You gonna be okay?

[She shakes her head. She'd liked Chloe, wanted to help her get away from whatever it was about Arcadia Bay she hated so much with that friend of hers. Said she would protect her along with everyone else. But she hadn't, because she'd been distracted by her anger at the Overseers and arguing with Akira and he'd gotten hurt and then CHLOE-]
I don't- I'll have to be. If I'm going to stop this from happening to everyone else.

[She fidgets a little with the sleeves on her dress.]
I'm the Huntress here, I'm supposed to- it's supposed to be my DUTY to protect re- to protect people.

[She nods, keeping her eyes down and forward as they walk.]
Huntsmen and Huntresses, they- we fight the Grimm, monsters that attack people on Remnant. But it's more than that, we're supposed to keep people safe, fight so they don't have to.
no subject
Doesn't seem like we're fightin' regular monsters, though. I've been in tussles with gods that have less of an iron grip on us than these "Overseers" do.
Just...be careful, alright? Don't go chargin' in head first, you've seen what'll happen.

[She stops, head down. It wasn't what Marisa meant, but it's what Penny hears; you were reckless, you were distracted, you didn't save her-]
I know, if I'd been paying more attention to everyone else, I could've- she might be- I'm so sorry-
no subject
I mean keep yourself safe.
no subject
[She shuffles a little, uncertainly.]
It's just- you too. Please. I don't want to see anyone else get hurt.
no subject
[ she sighs ]
Don't worry about me. I might not look it, but I know how to hang back when I'm outmatched, ze.

[...Saying it to CHLOE, now that she thinks of it.]
Now I just want to keep her far away from here.
no subject
[ it gets a small smile out of here ]
I feel the same way. I love lookin' at the stars, and studyin' them, I even incorporated them into the magic I use, but...I wish I could have gotten this close to 'em for different reasons.
no subject
[That at least gets a small smile, the memory taking precedence over the day's events.]
On Remnant we didn't even think getting into space was possible, getting to come here would've been amazing! But this- it's not worth it. Not at all.
