week 4

[Four weeks in the Starfield Penitentiary and seven people have lost their lives to Blaze Dudely's cruel game. At some point the robots cleaned up the mess left behind and by Sunday the involved rooms (including the fridge) are all clean and free of blood. In fact there's no sign left of any of the deaths that have happened on the ship so far by at least the next day. The only physical signs that people are gone are the empty beds.

On Sunday morning, you may find that you're recovering a a few other things as well - both strange dreams and some new items.

In addition, there's a new set of doors at the end of the corridor, in the space between the infirmary and the exercise yard. Looks like you've got a new wing to explore.]

[Akande, for the most part, has seemed to treat this 'motive' as he has most everything else; with critical derision. If he has anyone he'd care to bring back, he's doing a damn good job of hiding it, going about his business without any sort of visible reaction.

Hell, he grants the meats a bigger reaction, one of his rare honest smiles tugging at his lips. But it doesn't take all of his focus; he ends up sitting opposite Varric, giving him an arched brow]

And what did you think of Captain Dudely's...motivator?

It's a hell of a game he's playing, I can tell you that much. [By now, he'd spoken with Oda at length, which had done little calm his nerves. He still worried for those who had been affected, especially since the only conclusion they'd managed to reach was that someone would fall for it.]

I don't trust it enough to take the bait, if that's what you're asking.

I'm more curious whom you don't trust to not. [Your likely suspects for the week, anyway.

C'mon, Varric, gossip with him. You know you want to.]

[Oh good! His favorite past time.]

Max, Oda and Cheryl seemed bothered by the motive. Oda told me later that he wasn't planning anything -- seemed more concerned about the others, but maybe that's misdirection?

What do you think?

I think a mother can be ferocious in defense of her children - but I cannot recall Cheryl losing one. [He exhales at the thought, though, because Oda...]

If you were planning something, you would not tell someone. Considering little bothers him, the fact that this did at all is...surprising. But I suppose everyone has their pressure points.
