[Four people dead now - six, if you include the crew. Things have been a little rough on the Starfield Penitentiary this week. Blaze Dudely doesn't make a public reappearance during the weekend, so you've got a few days to yourselves to recover, though he's probably still sticking to his office hours if you really feel like going to see him. On Sunday morning, you may find that you're recovering a a few other things as well - both strange dreams and some new items.

In addition, there's a new set of doors at the end of the corridor, by that empty space where you'd been having your fight club. Looks like you've got a new wing to explore.]

Okay, yeah, that's true. I'm not sure how they'd actually manage that, but I guess it's just some future stuff I don't get.

I can't really explain it either, this isn't something I'm knowledgeable... We have space ships, humans have landed on the moon, but they can't go very far.

...gosh, that's still a lot more than we have. I didn't even know any of this was possible at all.

So... like, are there actually rabbits on the moon, then?

I don't think so. There's no air up there, so they'd have trouble breathing, unless they were very unusual rabbits.

Wait, really? That's pretty weird.

So wait, there's no air out there, right?

[tenimuho]

None. Don't try to go outside without protection.

So what are we floating in?

[tenimuho]

Nothing. There's nothing there.

I think... the easiest way to explain it is that normal air is like smoke: there's stuff in it. Even though you can't see air, you're breathing in something, and that 'something' is something you need for your body to keep working. In space, that something just isn't there.

Oh, I... see. So we're just... kind of floating around in nothing, I guess?

Exactly. Just emptiness.

That's crazy. I didn't think there could be so much nothing in one place.

[tenimuho]

Being in space is very different from being on the ground. It's a new experience for me too.

[andneversaydie]

It's probably new for all of us.

It's good we have at least one person with practical experience.

[andneversaydie]

Yeah, I agree. It still seems kind of crazy hearing about it from her, though.

I should really talk to her more often...

[They haven't had too many one-on-one conversations.]

Yeah, I've only talked to her as a conversation... maybe once? It was kind of weird to hear about where she comes from.

But it would be interesting to hear, too. And I don't think it would be impossible for us to get along.

[andneversaydie]

Oh, yeah, I agree. It's interesting, but... I feel kind of bad for her? I don't like the sound of how things go for people who live in space.

[tenimuho]

Is it really that bad? She didn't think having a library of books was a luxury, and I'm not sure whether that means she has it better or worse. Reading-wise.

[andneversaydie]

...well, she might be familiar with something more advanced, all things considered...? I mean, I don't know what to expect from this future stuff.

[tenimuho]

Neither do I. It's outside of my experience, so I try not to assume I know anything about it.

You're still probably doing better than I am, though.

I don't really think so... but thank you.
