Week 3

[Four people dead now - six, if you include the crew. Things have been a little rough on the Starfield Penitentiary this week. Blaze Dudely doesn't make a public reappearance during the weekend, so you've got a few days to yourselves to recover, though he's probably still sticking to his office hours if you really feel like going to see him. On Sunday morning, you may find that you're recovering a a few other things as well - both strange dreams and some new items.

In addition, there's a new set of doors at the end of the corridor, by that empty space where you'd been having your fight club. Looks like you've got a new wing to explore.]

It's just, as you said, not my genre. Doesn't seem like it's yours, either. No offense.

It's not. I don't really read fiction.

Neither do I. She's supposed to be a really talented author back where she's from, so I wouldn't doubt it.

...Do we even know who's giving us these things?

No. I'm assuming it's Dudely. Why, though, I have no idea.

That'd be...oddly generous of him.

He wants us alive, more or less. These things being given out aren't exactly helping us escape.

I guess for his own amusement, which...doesn't make it that much better. Guess it's still better than nothing.

Or for the amusement of whoever he's working for.

As do I. It's obvious that his employer is just as sadistic.

I'd mostly like to know why we were chosen in the first place. I still can't make a connection; none of us really have much in common. Some people here haven't even committed any real crimes.

That is something we should be able to find out. There has to be a common trait among us.

I'm waiting to see if our memories will give us anything to work with. Maybe they'll have the common link.

Perhaps. Hopefully that's the case. There has to be some link.

I would like to know what we did to deserve being locked up here!

I know why I'm here--or rather, I know what I've done to deserve prison. I already escaped my execution once before. For some of us it may not be so easy to take.

Wait--slow down. You were supposed to be executed?

[ holy shit what kind of criminal are you apollo ]

[She calmly holds out her PIP and taps at her profile. "Other Crimes: War crimes".]

Albeit the charges were hyped up and made by a political enemy of mine but I find it cowardly to lie. I helped create an empire from scratch. Any general or politician can tell you that is a bloody path.

[She once sicced a sea serpent on an unsuspecting populace, too.]

[ he knows that much, but execution? that's not a punishment that really happens back at his world. ]

...I guess so. I'm just surprised. Execution's not a thing back where I'm from.

Again, like I said it was originally arranged by a political enemy. The Prime Minister wanted me out of the way.

[Albeit, the people who were going to do the execution would only have done it after verifying the claims.]
