[With the sudden pirate takeover and the sudden, tragic deaths of the crew, the second week of the Starfield Penitentiary rehabilitation project is off to a rough start. After Price's call for parlay with the pirate captain, he was not seen for the remainder of Saturday but around 10 pm it is his calm but tense voice that makes the time announcement.

Buckle in, Champions, things are about to get bumpy.]

[As Cheryl seemed to e putting the finishing touches on her efforts, Varric approached. He hadn't spoken to the woman before, and in his experience, making friends over the dead was hardly ideal. But he wasn't sure what else to say, and he did have a question.]

Did you know them very well? [Without waiting for a response, Varric continued.] I didn't. But I'd like to write something for them. I was hoping you might help?

We burn ours back home. Superstition, mostly. Fear of disease and the Blight spreading, probably. Or blood magic, that too. [Still not knowing what else to say, Varric figured that talking about funeral practices was a good idea.

He also knew that it probably definitely wasn't actually a good idea.

Burning 'em isn't all that rare where I'm from, too. They buried my sister, but we don't have nearly the problems your world seems to...

It's... big. Lot of different regions all over? There's Unova, which is where I'm from; we're mostly just cities and a bunch of ports that are too dirty to swim in, but you've got some nice forests and beaches the further in you get.

Then there's Kalos, up north and across the sea; they're mostly known for old castles and fancy wines, that kind of thing. And I've really wanted to see Alola, that's the one with all the sunshine and volcanoes.

[She takes a deep sigh and thinks about this some more.]

Some of the people here have names like they could be from places like Johto or Sinnoh; those regions are further east. And Oda says he's from Kanto? But it doesn't sound like any Kanto I ever heard of...

He didn't even know what a Pokemon was.

To be fair sweetheart, I think most people are pretty clueless as to what Pokemon are. [Varric let out a rumble of a laugh. He counted himself among that group.]

Kalos though, that sounds like a place I know. Minus the blood magic, though I'm sure. They just as stuck up there as the people from the place I know?

Haven't been there myself, but you get a lot of them coming in to Castelia -- that's the largest city where I'm from.

I'm pretty sure blood magic isn't even a thing there, but uh...some of them are? It's kind of a stereotype.
