Week 1

[After the initial introduction of the Overseers on Sunday, the Champions were left to their own devices in investigating the part of the ship they have access to to their hearts' content. However, the doors that Jamie and Bolton came through are locked tight and cannot be unlocked via PIP.

On Monday morning, the same voice that awakened them the previous morning chirps at them again from their PIPs at 7 am on the dot. There's also a pop-up message waiting for them: a notice announcing "office hours" for Bolton in the library and Jamie in the art room every day from here on out.

And I'm sure it'd be hard to do that unintentionally, with how secure this place is.

I think my Dad would have little trouble making a dent in the walls.

He must be really strong, at that rate. How does that even work?

Oh, he has an incredible amount of Mangrit. He gets it from my Poppop.

Sorry, I'm not really sure what that means. Maybe it's past slang?

It just means he's quite strong and able to take care of himself when situation calls for it.

I still think that's a little different from punching through a secure space station, but I'm sure it works out where you're from! I'm just a little worried about the vacuum outside.

Oh, I had meant, if he was in here, he'd punch a wall in one room and it'd dent in the adjacent room.

That's still pretty strong! I wonder how the people back home are doing...

I know my Dad must be worried sick...and, coincidentally, punching walls to find the people who did this. He doesn't cut corners when he has something to do.

Either that, or my friends might be trying to build a rocket to get to us, if they think we're in space for certain.

Really? Can your friends build a rocket?

With their talents combined, I do believe they could!
Dirk is absolutely impeccably skilled with robotics. Roxy's quite well versed in computers. And Jake...well, he's rather good at cobbling things together and learning new tasks, so I'm sure if the three of them were able to get together and work on it, they'd have a workable rocket ready and raring to go!

That's amazing! I mean, we'd still have to deal with the fact that we're in some kind of alternate universe, but three kids building their own ship? They must be dedicated to everything they do.

They really are. I'm quite lucky to have friends like them.
They always make me smile when I'm down, and I do what I can for them in turn, but we all live quite far from each other, and can only talk to each other online.
Still, we send each other packages, and when one of your friends sends you a fully autonomous robotic rabbit as a present, you can't deny that they have some incredible technological knowhow.

Wow, really? A robot that does everything on its own?

Yes indeed! That's my Lil' Sebastian!
He has a penchant for getting in trouble sometimes, but he's programmed to protect me and help me out.
He has his own little sword, and he's quick on his little feet and incredibly clever!
I only wish he would stop sleeping in my Poppop's effigy - he racks up a fortune in taxidermy repair!

...That last bit is slightly concerning!

Yeah, I never said it wasn't.
We...kind of have my Poppop's corpse taxidermized and stuffed and displayed in our living room?
It's incredibly creepy and apparently a tradition, since his father was stuffed and displayed in the living room of his house while he was growing up. I've asked my Dad if we could put him in the attic, but he just won't do it.
And, of course, Lil' Sebastian ends up making a burrow in there. At least it's all fluff and not gross stuff.

I don't know why anyone would do that, but once I had to do a funeral for a crew member who wanted their ashes mixed into ink and printed on the company newsletter, so...

I suppose if that's part of their final request, it'd be rude not to give it to them.
Still...I don't know why it'd be made into a tradition, myself. It's terribly unsettling!

I'm so glad nobody requested that on their employment forms. ...I mean, I really hope nobody requested it.
