Week 2
[Other than the reappearance of the Overseer, there's no real change in the routine. PAL still makes the morning and night time announcements through the PIP on each Champion's arm, and still the Champion unitards are freshly laundered and re-hung each morning in their closets.
No other floors unlock, but Cece and Kip will still be appearing randomly to chit-chat.
All you know is... something has to change soon.]
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday
[ooc: Don't forget to to turn in your AC for week 1 and submit your threads for the Benefactors!]

Halls because why not
Mercy Lewis!! [The book catches itself just before it hits the ground and she stumbles off to the side, eyes wide as she watches Junpei make a fool of himself. And then she starts laughing, giggling really, high pitched and muffled by her hand.]
Should you really be driving like that, sir? [A teasing lilt to her tone. But really the question she wants to know is where did he get liquor?!]
no subject
Ma'aaaam, I don't even have a license. I'm a danger to myself and others. Cheers!
[He toasts her with the whiskey bottle, then takes another gulp. Ahhh, delicious future pain. Tomorrow's Junpei is going to hate him so much.]
Wanna take 'er for a spin? You seem like a responsisable... a responsible young lady.
no subject
[She just shakes her head and grins at him.]
Wouldn' mind taking that bottle for a spin if yer willin ta share though~
I ain' never had no-maj drinks before. What is it? [Asking questions is pretty hit or miss at this point but maybe he'll want to impress her and let her try some, Morgana knows it wouldn't be the first time.]
no subject
[Junpei interrupts himself with a little hiccup, then smiles and hands the bottle up to her.]
Careful. It's the good stuff. Not really good for Queenie's first alcohol, but beggars, choosers, so on.
no subject
And nothing happens.
No burning anywhere but her throat, no smoke, no flames, no dizzying rush. Just nice, smooth liquor.
She pouts.]
That's it? Well no wonder you had to drink so much. [And she's going to let herself have one more, significantly longer pull from the bottle before she hands it back.] Just 'cause I ain't had no-maj whiskey before doesn't mean I've never drank sweetheart.
[She's actually pretty good at it.]
no subject
Whoa.
[Junpei makes no effort to hide how he's staring as he takes the bottle back, feeling at once put down and impressed all at once.]
What... does magic whiskey do? ...Does it make you magic.
no subject
'm already magic, honey.
Now firewhisky ain' my drink of choice but it does give ya a nice kinda all over burn. My favorite's gigglewater though. [Not that she needs some Pinnock's to be a giggly mess.]
no subject
[After all, he is familiar with both whiskey and fire, and can see why that would appeal.]
What's gigglewater?
no subject
[She pointedly giggles loudly and shrugs.] It makes you giggle.
[If they're going to be having a conversation though, she slides down the wall to sit on the floor next to his stopped little car. And now she's starting to feel a bit warm... oh that is surprisingly smooth and maybe a little dangerous 'cause it doesn't hit as hard and fast as firewhisky. And it's not as light as gigglewater.]
no subject
What's it taste like? I mean... if it's clear, 'sit like a kind of vodka? Though, 's not as if vodka has much of a taste by itself. You get flavors?
no subject
Hmm [She reaches out, waggles her fingers toward the bottle. Nope if they're talking they're drinking, come on she has catching up to do.]
's kinda a new thing but it'd be great if they did flavors! Lots of new drinks comin out with the no-majs and their prohibition nonsense.
no subject
[Junpei hands it over. He can be a nice boy when he's not being an emo shit. Also, he's drunk and she's pretty.]
...America, 1920s. That Prohibition?
no subject
Oh? Is this an idea that other people know about? Because it seems awful silly to us. We've been completely ignoring it.
Wizarding folk, I mean.
no subject
[-Ish. Junpei's interests are strange and specific.]
'F it helps, that gets repealed in 1933. So 's not gonna be weird forever.
no subject
Well at least they realized it was stupid. [Another swig of the whiskey and a pleased little hum at the warmth.]
No-majs
no subject
[He holds a hand out to ask for the booze back.]
I bet their stupid ideas are even stupider, 'cause of the magic.
no subject
Oh sure we do. You ask some folks and Rappaport's is stupid.
The ICW is pretty good at not being stupid. MACUSA? Eeeeh... not so much.
no subject
...I don't know what aaaany of that is, haha.
no subject
She reaches out for Junpei's hand and just squeezes, holding onto his hand until she can catch her breath enough to speak.]
Government stuff, sweetie. Wizarding government.
no subject
How--how does magic government work? There's no magic country, right? Are... do you pay magic taxes?
no subject
MACUSA is the American Wizarding government. Magical Congress of the United States of America. But they still have to answer to the ICW.
no subject
Does the ICW have... have jurisdiction everywhere?
no subject
But the ICW's laws are worldwide. Mmm, I don't know of anywhere that they don't follow 'em.
no subject
So there's... magic societies everywhere? All over the world?
no subject
Yeah... why wouldn' there be?
