week 1
[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.
Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.
Enjoy your week, Champions.]
[ooc: welcome to week 1, everyone! This first week is a peace week which means there will be no murder this weekend! Feel free to start submitting threads for the benefactors]

[It was mean of Nari to take the girl into the deeper water like this, so she gently untangles her hands from Angel's. Too keep the girl grounded, she keeps her fingertips against the sirens skin as she moves to wrap her arms around Angel. Without any strain, Nari lifts her and carries her to a much shallower part of the pool. Once the water was only waist high for herself, she puts the other girl down.]
Better? Generally people get thrown in for their first time. Tradition. To kick your brain into fight or flight mode. But I'm not a dick like my parents were. Now then, let's see if you can float. On your back!

[The few seconds of trust that Angel afforded the woman were enough to get Angel to solid ground and shallower waters.]
Thank you. [The gratitude was meant several times over -- appreciating both her guidance to shallower waters and for not tossing her right into the water.]

Of course if she's met with resistance, she'll stop and wait for Angel to relax.]

With that thought in mind, Angel gave in, allowing herself to come to rest on her back. It was a bit frightening, being at the mercy of the water and feeling it lap over her frame. Still, she forced herself to be as still as possible, even as panic rushed through her mind.]

[Meaning she'll hold on as long as you need her to, Angel.]

When... When does it get easier?
no subject
[Meaning when you are comfortable.] Tell me... why do you think you have to be afraid of the water?
no subject
Because I do not know how to survive in it. In... many ways, I do not understand it.

[Which is why she said to respect it.]
no subject
It is hard to respect the power of that which I do not know.

Time to see if Angel can sink or swim.]
