Week 1

[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.

Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.

Enjoy your week, Champions.]

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday

[ooc: welcome to week 1, everyone! This first week is a peace week which means there will be no murder this weekend! Feel free to start submitting threads for the benefactors]

...Uh, freshwater fish, duh.

And it doesn't matter how much it's filtered, all water is just filtered pee! Somebody or something peed it out at some point!

That's just life. All air is recycled, if you think about it. We need trees to recycle it for us, if not carbon scrubbers in their place.

[ Pretend he's not kinda bitter in the latter half of that sentence, okay. ]

I mean, the data making up your body, the molecules that make it up, probably once belonged to something else at some point, on a most basic level. Those particles tend to travel.

People aren't made of data, they're out of DNA.

And everyone knows that energy is the only thing that's truly conserved in the universe. Entropy, heat death of the universe, all that stuff.
honoraryembryon: (And also in a bad way!)

... You're not very up to date with things, are you? Data is smaller than DNA. They didn't know what else to call it, because it was literally so small that they began running out of terms. It was just the most fitting word. Everything is made of data. If that wasn't true, well...

[ ... Humans wouldn't have the potential in their DNA to become complete monsters if the structures were altered just slightly, in his universe. ]

I don't think I'd be standing here right now as I am. ... You... haven't heard of the woman that made that discovery? I'm kind of surprised, given someone of your stature. It does make me wonder, though, how much DO you actually know about our homes, Mr. Larimer?

Uh, I totally read your bios. Like, really well. Because I can read things good.
honoraryembryon: (FOR REAL)

[personal profile] honoraryembryon 2017-05-23 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
... Can you actually read?

[ Flat look. Don't lie to him, Kip. That is a sentence that sounds like it was concocted by a guy who is trying to lie about how well he can read, when he, in fact, cannot read at all. ]

Or did you just have that assistant read them to you?

Psht. Ceec definitely didn't read all the profiles out loud to me. That would have taken an insanely long time.

Eh, an hour isn't "insanely long".

[ Look how little faith he has in you, Kip. ]

... More than that, I feel like our profiles shouldn't have been the ONLY thing that was what you knew about us from selecting us. I mean, mine doesn't exactly say EVERYTHING. A lot of ours fail to mention certain things, about where we come from, for instance... speaking of that, we all seem to have inconsistencies with our homes. Are we all from differing realities, or... what?
