Week 1

[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.

Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.

What else can you make? You said miso was just one of the things you know how to cook -- is there anything else?

Mostly simple things, like soups. I can make decent yakisoba? I'm no chef though.

I don't suppose you'd have to be though, if you're a prince...? You'd have people to do that sort of thing for you.

[ she doesn't say it in an accusing or dismissive way, more in an "ah, that makes sense" sort of voice. ]

It's good to put the effort in to learn for yourself though. Are you thinking about picking up any more recipes while you're here? It'd pass the time!

Yeah, we have cooks for most meals, but you never know when you might have to fend for yourself. I've been reading the cookbooks in the kitchen, though honestly there's not really any other options...

They're probably not a very good place to start, either... especially if you've noticed the theme.

[ pretty much all of them have ROMANTIC MEALS FOR YOU AND YOUR PARTNER slapped on the front somewhere so it's not like it's hard to miss. ]

They're very dedicated to all this glitz and glamour. It's almost impressive.

When they go for a theme they go all out, apparently. It's tacky.

It's definitely too over the top. But that does explain the way we turned up here. "Too much" was apparently the dress code.

[ it sure explains those heels that she has yet to so much as look at so much as wear again. ]

But then we have those outfits in our wardrobes as well... from one extreme to another, it looks like.

They show a bit much, huh? I've seen tights before, but nothing quite like that.

They are a bit... less modest than I was hoping after all the glitz and glamour. They're serviceable enough but they're not exactly comfortable...

[ do you know what it's like trying to get one of those things over your chest, takumi. it's not fun. ]

But it's better than nothing... I shouldn't really be complaining.
