Week 1

[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.

Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.

[The siren wasn't sure whether or not the man was asking her to stay or stay away. Either way, she did as she was commanded, hanging back and staring at the young man.]

Whatever you need. [She nodded as she plopped down onto her backside. Might as well get comfortable.]

[To be fair, he wasn't exactly sure what he wanted either. Once he gets his breath steady he slides down the wall to sit as well.]

[Perhaps slightly scared for herself, but he didn't need to know that. Especially now that the threat had, apparently, passed.]

Are you doing better?

I think so, yeah. Usually it... doesn't take this long.

This has... happened to you before, then? [That was troubling.]

Not... often. But I have bad nights sometimes- waking up in strange places just makes it worse.

I understand. Waking up here has been very unnerving on its own. I cannot imagine how it would be with a pre-existing condition. [After a moment, Angel's hand slipped forward, resting on his shoulder.] I only wish I could truly promise you that you were safe.

I appreciate the thought at least.

[He sighs, now that he's calmer he's able to feel a bit embarrassed]

I'm not used to people seeing me like that...

You know... [Angel let out a breath of a laugh.] I'm not used to people seeing me, period.

We can both feel self-conscious and out of our element, then.

[Now that he's calmer he realizes:]

Why are you up so early?

To be up early would imply that I had slept at some point, my friend. [A bitter laugh escaped her.]

I had a rough time attempting to fall asleep, and so I simply decided to stay awake for the time being.
