week 1
[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.
Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.
Enjoy your week, Champions.]
[ooc: welcome to week 1, everyone! This first week is a peace week which means there will be no murder this weekend! Feel free to start submitting threads for the benefactors]

[ She hesitates to say hypnotism because even as the thought occurs to her, it sounds absurd. ]
Some kind of psychological trick, rather than something physically done to us?
[ Then she looks thoughtful. ]
Or, now that I think about it... it could even be something to do with the PIPs.

[He looks away from his own arm. He already kind of wanted to hack it off to get away from the PIP just on principle, but a theory like that just worsens the urge.]

Maybe...? I have no idea how they work but... they're attached to our bodies and they can track our vital signs.
[ and detect pregnancy, apparently. ]
Who knows what else they're programmed for? It's just a theory, of course, but... well, until we get some real answers theorizing is all we can do.
no subject
...It's a good theory, though. The simplest answer's pretty often the best one. The PIPs are already attached to us; I don't want to know how much more they did to our bodies.

[ she looks so queasy at the thought. ]
It's clear enough they don't want us trying to pull them out so... What other kind of functions could they be serving...?

[He has no doubt the PIPs can kill their hosts, either, whether it be through a larger shock or something else.]
I think they're there to limit the variables in this "experiment" of theirs. Otherwise, they can't get clean data.
[He's a little pale and his skin is prickling.]
Uh, Wakasa. Do me a favor? ...Tell me not to try yanking it out again.

[ she pulled out that Strict voice way too fast ]

Yes, ma'am.

[ you asked for this, junpei. ]
