week 1
[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.
Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.
Enjoy your week, Champions.]
[ooc: welcome to week 1, everyone! This first week is a peace week which means there will be no murder this weekend! Feel free to start submitting threads for the benefactors]

You can just talk about all this.

A place where all that is common. Not secret. But...
[She shakes her head.]
A cannibal city?

[ He sighs. He doesn't know what to make of her, earnestly... ]
I mean, all our profiles have inconsistencies, right? An age, or something. Maybe mine was my race. Title's right, though. If I was doing anything, it'd be trying to help the Lokapala.

[ Respect, he has it. ]
My people. My group--a resistance faction. I lead them.

[ He says "hunt" in a derogative way. There's some venom there. His eyes narrow--it's clear he doesn't like Karma City. ]
Call us "foxes" in code. We're nothing but food to them.

A lot of people, considering their size and appetite, which is why our population is dwindling so badly.
[ He sighs. ]
They have to consume Magnetite to survive, which can only be gotten from human beings or other demons, which are usually always already humans to have started with, anyway.

[Mai gives a small gasp. She pushes it down to lineface.]
Demons were human... I don't understand. How.

[ Sounds weird, doesn't it? But... ]
It seems hard to believe such a thing could exist, but... well. I've put bullets into too many of them to be in disbelief, at this point. The things they can become are certainly inhuman. The knowledge they stole from God... whether it was meant to be a curse or something more, though, I can't say.

[ Just the possibility, mind. ]
Doesn't mean it'll happen. They have to be infected.
